About this Cook
I am a single mom of one wonderful boy, age 5. I have an amazing boyfriend that eats whatever I cook, which is a good thing because I love to cook.
My favorite things to cook
i like to cook mexican foods, soups on cold nights, and vegetarian meals. Thats a very brief description..I cook whatever im craving!! ;)
My favorite family cooking traditions
I dont like winter at all, its way too cold here, but i do like a big bowl of warm soup so... A cold winters day + a big bowl of soup + a good movie = a great time with the family!!!
My cooking triumphs
I enjoy eating out, and discovering new foods. Its one thing to eat out and enjoy an awesome meal, but it means so much more when you can come home and make a similar dish thats tastes ten times better!! :)
My cooking tragedies
no huge tragedies yet. the only thing i can think of, is my baking experiences...not the best turn out :/ Its a good thing I dont have a sweet tooth!!

Asian Lettuce Wraps
Soo good! I used ground turkey instead of beef, and fresh ginger instead of pickled. Definitely make the sauce that is suggested by another reviewer: 1tsp sesame oil, 2T soy sauce, 2T rice vinegar, 1Tchile paste **I also added chopped cilantro. and served limes to sqeeze on the side. yummo!

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup
Yum! A very soothing soup on a snowy winter day. I cooked the noodles seperate as other reviewers had suggested. I also added a can of cream of potato to give it a thicker texture. (any cream soup would be good) Next time someone isn't feeling well, I will totally be running back to this recipe! (In my individual bowl i squeezed alittle lime juice and added some hot sauce. soo good.)
