Apple Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2014
This is so good and a great alternative to muffins-the only thing I changed is the nuts. I used a package of sliced pecans. I also halved the recipe but won't next time!

Classic Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2014
I Use my SLOW COOKER to cook this meatloaf and it is amazing! I do not add mushrooms, bell or Cheyenne pepper. I also use a meatloaf mix (beef pork & veal). I also do not add mustard to the glaze. These are the only things I do different & that is due to my family's taste. And if you think this meatloaf is good, you need to try chef johns meatballs-totally amazing!!!!!!

So easy to prepare! I made it buffet style and put out a few different fruits (cut up) and toppings ( syrup, sour cream, whipped topping). Everyone loved it!

Cranberry BBQ Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2014
My family loved it! I used boneless chicken breasts and jellied cranberry sauce. I skipped the second step and just sautéed the veggies in olive oil instead. I baked it about 1 hour covered. I will try the whole berry next time just to see if it is as good.

Braided Easter Egg Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2014
I can not believe how easy this was to make! I followed directions exactly and it looked great. I did not have a bread machine and did not find it too difficult without one. The only thing I would change next time is brushing it with butter before baking to get that shiny glazed look.

My Country Style Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2014
WOW! Great recipe. This was my first time using cubed steaks. I've never known what to use them with before. So here is what I did; I kept the steaks whole and after frying them and putting the gravy together according to the recipe, I threw everything in my crockpot and let it cook on low for 2 hours...it was amazing. The steaks melted in your mouth!

Oven Roasted Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2014
My family wants me to make this weekly! They are pretty picky and usually get tired of anything I make weekly....except this! The only changes I made were using brown sugar (as suggested by another viewer) in place of splenda and boneless chicken breasts. I usually do dinner prep in the morning so I poured the sauce over the chicken and refrigerated it until I was ready to bake it! UNBELIEVABLE!! I also made extra for dipping sauce...couldn't get enough!!!

My family went crazy over these meatballs! I was able to make 18 with this recipe-I like a nice size meatball! The only ingredients I changed was the meat. I used 1lb ground beef and 1lb ground Sweet Italian sausage. Will be making these is batches and freezing them.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2014
This is a great winter recipe! I used chicken breasts and always use low sodium soy sauce. I also made extra sauce and put it in small ramekin dishes for each person to use for dipping.

Swiss Steak Quick and Easy

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2013
This was really good! I did not have brown gravy mix so I just used beef broth and flour to make a gravy. I also used top round London broil/ steak. I did brown the meat first and then cooked it in the crock. I always find the meat is tastier and not as tough when you brown it first. Next time I'm going to add carrots and green beans to make it a one dish meal!

I made some changes....I used panko bread crumbs instead of the regular Italian bread crumbs. I added the juice of one lemon to melted butter, drizzled it on top and baked it (as suggested by another reviewer) It was awesome!

Twice Baked Potato Casserole With Bacon

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2013
I made it a bit easier. I used instant potatoes (made according to package) and didn't use sour cream (didn't have any on hand) or milk, instead I used half and half. I also topped it with 1tbs of bacon bits and parsley.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

My family loves these. The only item I don't add is the sherry just because I never have it on hand! I buy beef in bulk and always freeze a bunch of these. They're soooo good.

This was a great marinade! I have used both a pork roast as well as a tenderloin cut into cubes. Both were amazing. I boiled the extra marinade and put it in ramekin dishes for each person to use for extra dipping!

Great dish! I used Ponzu sauce instead of the oyster and soy sauce because I did not have it on hand. I also did not used bok choy. Instead I added green onions, a can of water chestnuts and baby corn (canned). We loved it!
