Getting used to cooking in a foreign country.....I didn't cook much when I was single, but now that I'm married I cook almost everyday!Thankfully my husband is not at all picky (castiron stomach)I try and cook healthy meals as often as possible. There is an incredible selection of fresh veggies and fruits here in Taiwan, very cheap.....I don't have a standard oven ( most taiwanese families do not uses ovens ) so I've had to try baking with a convection oven. It's hard to know how to adjust the recipes!
My favorite things to cook
Asian ( Thai, Indo, Indian )
Salads of any kind
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom makes great Mexican food.I love helping her chop and prepare the veggies! When I was little in Minnesota my whole family would go to my nana and papa's house for Pizza Football dinners. My dad and all my uncles would sit in the den and watch the Vikings play and mom and all my aunties would make homemade pizzas. It's a great memory!
My cooking triumphs
I made a wonderful authentic Lasagne!!! It was really good, I mean really good!
My cooking tragedies
Too many to count
