Best Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2005
Stayed moist and delicous until the last drop was gone several days later. Next time I may use a little less frosting.

I have made this a couple of time now and it has been great every time. It lasts a long time in the fridge.

This pie was delicious! I couldn't stop at one piece. Make sure to let it cool for around an hour before cutting into it.

Penuche Sugar Fudge

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2005
Tastes amazing, but the texture wasn't quite right. Its probably because I tried to make this without a candy thermometer (although I did take it off at the soft ball stage).

Warm Chicken and Mango Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2005
I would go a little heavier on the spices, but great and healthy meal.

African Chicken Stew

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2005
Excellent dish! I used tofu instead of chicken and white beans instead of garbanzo. Make sure to use good quality peanut butter.

German Spaetzle Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2005
I had somewhat of a hard time pushing the dough through the slotted spoon I was using, but it came out tasting great.

Fruity Curry Chicken Salad

This was an excellent recipe! I made half of it with the Mock Chicken from this website and half with real chicken for my fiance. We both loved it!

Make sure you taste the batter and adjust seasonings until you are happy with it. Great basics though.

Cholay (Curried Chickpeas)

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2005
The spices and seasonings were great. I think the can of chickpeas I bought was not too good...they were a lot harder than I would have liked.

Excellent and easy fudge recipe. I just chopped up a bar of good quality chocolate instead of the chips...worked really well.

Gobi Aloo (Indian Style Cauliflower with Potatoes)

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2005
Very good once I doubled every spice. I also added the tomato and coconut milk to taste. I like my Indian dishes to have a lot of flavor!

Chili I

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2005
This is now our staple chili recipe. I find that the amount of sugar to add depends a lot on the kind of beer you use. I suggest waiting to add the sugar until the end and then adding to taste.

Creamiest Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2005
I mistakenly cooked it longer than an hour and it thickened up perfectly! I didn't have to use the egg mixture making the dish a little lighter.

Pineapple Fried Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2005
Really good with just a couple of adjustments. I added some fresh ginger, a bit more soy sauce, and some sambal oelek(but any chili pepper would be good). Also, I think it could use a little more egg. Definitely making it again.

Cinnamon Rice with Apples

This recipe was delicious! It worked very well with dinner, but later I spooned it over vanilla yogurt (kwark for those in Holland) and it was even better.

Creamy Vegetable Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2005
Really nice winter soup! I used a leek instead of the onion because I like really mild onion flavor. Also, I used vegetable broth instead of chicken broth. I made the soup a little thicker by adding the water-constarch mixture before the milk and letting it boil for a while. I am definitely making this again.
