Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
Excellent....would not change a thing. I used a 13x9x2 rectangle pan, baked for 40 minutes and it turned golden brown. Let it cool for 30 minutes...tastes better after it cools down a bit..

Absolutely delicious. Next time I will use instant chocolate pudding instead of the vanilla. Tasted even better the next day.

Brownie Caramel Cheesecake

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2005
I'm giving this only 3 stars. It was alot of work and the taste was just "ok". Also, all the brownie mixes are 19-24 ounces (not 9 ounces as the recipe states) Maybe that's why some other reviewers said the brownie was very hard. I used 19 oz. mix, added two eggs and two tbsp.water. and the brownie stayed moist. Would not make again.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2005
Teriffic! Instead of basting the chicken every 10 minutes, I poured the sauce on top and baked it in a covered casserole dish for 45 minutes. I used boneless chicken thighs. I think the thighs are the key in the success of this recipe. Chilcken breast would come out very dry.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2005
Excellent recipe. I made this with a 3 1/2 pound brisket. Used 1 can of golden mushroom soup and 1 can of cream of mushroom soup. Added some carrots. Cooked on low for 9 hours. The brisket was very tender. Served it over egg noodles.

I enjoyed this recipe and so did my husband--but my two children didn't care for it. Overall, I think this is a great meal for busy families.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2005
I already had a favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe (Beth's chocolate chip cookies) but after seeing so many reviews, I decided to try this one. Cookies were ok. Kind of had an odd taste-I think it was the vanilla pudding. Sorry, I'm sticking with Beth's Chocolate Chip cookie recipe.

Broccoli Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2005
Followed the recipe pretty close. I used shredded chedder cheese,(instead of American) 2 cans of cream of mushroom, and sauted onion. I left out the celery. As other reviewers stated-it took alot of time to prepare and lots of dishes to clean up. Otherwise, it was tasty and my family liked it.

Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2005
I liked the recipe and so did my family but I didn't care for the cornflake topping. Next time I will us a can of french fried onions in place of the chopped onions and then sprinkle some french fried onions on the top during the last few minutes of cooking.

very good. Used thin sliced chicken cutlets. Next time I will put a thin layer of mayonaisse on top of the cutlets keep the chicken moist--as another reviewer suggested. Will make this again.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

very good. I tossed the apples with the butter and sugar mixture as some of the other reviewers suggested. I used regular pie crust for the top-(not lattice) and it came out great.

Beth's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2005
This is the best chocolate chip cookie recipe I have ever tried. Followed the recipe exactly--(I omitted the pecans and added 1/2 cup extra chocolate chips). The butter flavored shortening(Crisco) is the key to the wonderful flavor.
