About this Cook
I am a married woman with three kids ages 11, 9, 5. I get to stay home and do all the lovley housewife duties...getting them all to eat the same meal is a challenge.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking, anything sweet and fattening, I love down home country cooking and often look for southern recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Christmas I bake Christmas cookies and my kids decorate them, I am also the pie diva in my family. I like to try a new dish at every holiday.
My cooking triumphs
My pies, chilli relenos, pound cake, biscuit pudding, chocolate chip cheeseball and peach cobbler are my hits. Oh and my husband loves my stew.
My cooking tragedies
At 19 I thought what a great idea it would be to boil an egg in the microwave, when I tapped it it blew up like a grenade, I made awful dressing last year, I didn't stir this recipe while it was cooking and it was horrible.

Baked Potato
Blah, tasted nothing like a potato, maybe I used the wrong fork? Next time I will use a dessert fork. :oP

Black Chocolate Cake
Mine was a flop, I didn't know if maybe it was something I did. I followed the recipe to the T except tried to make muffins instead of a cake. and I was going to frost them with my peanut butter frosting recipe on this sight (awesome by the way). But I did not get that far. The muffins top did not rise, they just popped right off the muffins and the inside was so crumbly I couldn't even think about peeling the paper off of one. Tomorrow is Easter so I had to just use the recipe on the cocoa box at the last minute, I was very dissapointed.

Italian Cream Cake I
Fantastic!!! I doubled the frosting, I added pecans to the frostings and decorated with some on the outside. I made this for my aunts birthday, she loves Italian cream cake, they ordered one from her favorite bakery and I made one too, mine put the bakery cake to shame, I even got emails telling me how good this cake was, excellent, the frosting makes it so don't use any other kind of frosting on this cake or it will not be as good. Super!! Oh yeah I cut down the powdered sugar, I put in a cup "less" than called for in the frosting, it was plenty sweet.
