About this Cook
I am a new mother. Love to experiment in the kitchen. My other hobbies are photography, scrapbooking and traveling.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Itallian and Mexican dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Christmas growing up my Grandmother always had Chex Mix. Her recipe is no longer on the box. I continue this tradition with her recipe.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking my first Thanksgiving Dinner for my in-laws. I did it all from scratch. It turned out wonderful.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I cooked anything for my inlaws. I was at my Husbands grandmothers house. It was just a grilled cheese sandwich and I burned them. They all were like bless her heart she can't cook! I redeamed myself at Thanksgiving!!!

Turkey 'n Stuffing Bake
Very good. Will make again. I browned boneless turkey breast in a pan with a little chicken broth, olive oil and mesquite chicken seasoning. This would also be good using chicken instead of turkey. Maybe even put some cheese on top under the french fried onions.

Baked Walnuts
These were good but I have had better. I put them over baby spinach with bacon pieces and raspberry viniagrette dressing.

King Ranch Chicken Casserole III
Very good! Had great flavor. I did change some things. I already had flour tortias so I used them instead of the Corn Tortias. I increased the cheese to two cups. I also put some seasonings in the soup mixture (red pepper, garlic salt & cajun seasoning)to spice it up. My husband & I enjoyed it. I will make this again.
