I am a stay at home mom and Army wife. I am blessed to have an amazing husband and soon to be teenage son that I homeschool. I recently had a kidney transplant (Feb. 2014) and can finally eat normally again! With my new found energy I am having fun in the kitchen trying all kinds of wonderful recipes found on this site.
My favorite things to cook
I have never had good luck with baking, but with the fantastic recipes I have found on this site (and my new oven probably has something to do with my recent success) I love baking. Especially cookies. : )
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our traditions change from year to year. Being a military family we have lived in the Midwest and on both coasts of the United States. We have also lived in Istanbul, Turkey and Bahrain. Needless to say our traditions certainly changed when overseas depending on food availability.
My cooking triumphs
Every time I don't overcook meat and it is juicy is a success for me!
My cooking tragedies
Tragedy? Nothing too awful. Although, my husband and son will eat anything I put in front of them. : )
