Croissants via Julia Child's recipe! It took me about 6 failed attempts to get it right, but I did it, just so I could say I did.
My cooking tragedies
While clarifying beef stock... after 8 hours of work... at the final step of straining the egg shells I drained out the soup & kept the shells - oops! Boy, was I mad at myself.

Morning Glory Muffins I
Delicious! I made a few changes - used 3 whole eggs and deleted the oil, used 1/2 C. white sugar, and 3/4 cup dark brown, and added 2 T of chia seeds instead of wheat germ. These are dense and filling muffins! They don't rise too much in the oven because there's so many goodies in it, so I filled the muffin cups to just about full and got perfect muffin tops.

Braised Balsamic Chicken
I made this a bit simpler - I used a can of Italian style diced tomatoes (has the herbs already in it) and didn't add any extra herbs. Threw in a jar of button mushrooms, cut the balsamic back to 1/4 C, added 1 chicken broth cube (no extra water). After tasting it was a bit too sour, so I added maybe 1-2 t. of sugar and then it was sooo delicious!

Tzatziki Sauce
Wonderful! I used FF sour cream instead of greek yogurt - drained it in cheesecloth for about an hour. Finely shredded the cucumbers and let them drain (no salt) over paper towels for about an hour too, occasionally squeezing them in the paper towels and replacing the towels with dry ones. The whole house smelled of cucumbers for quite awhile afterwards. 2 days later it's still not runny. Don't skimp on the garlic!
