Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2014
Really liked this recipe. We had left over ham from Christmas dinner so I boiled a few potatoes for about 5 minutes then removed from heat & cooled down. Once cool I sliced the potatoes, diced the left over ham and added the remaining ingredients. I did omit the peas (as I had none in the house) and added an extra 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese into the recipe. By cooking the potatoes slightly it only took about 45 minutes to cook then another 10 to brown on top.

Fantastic recipe! Wouldn't change a thing on it. Made a side dish of black beans with it and it was perfect.

Asparagus Quiche

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2011
Great recipe - I did modify it slightly however. I used only one premade pie crust and used three eggs and one cup of half and half along with 1 1/4 cups of the shredded swiss cheese. I did not have the nutmeg on hand so I made it without this seasoning. Turned out terrific! Thank you.

Eileen's Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
Really good meatloaf - it held together well and did not break apart when taking it out of the oven. I may use a little less bread crumbs the next time but this was very good just the way it was written. Thank you!

Slow Cooker Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2011
Excellent recipe - I have noticed however if I use the pork chops with the bones it does seem to come out a little more tender than the boneless. I added salt, pepper & garlic as suggested by other readers. A keeper in my favorites!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
Absolutely loved this dish. I would give it 6 stars if I could. I took the other reviewers suggestions into consideration before preparing. I used the two cans of soup as directed, instead of two cans of water I used 1 1/2 and 1/2 beef broth. The last 2 hours I sauteed the fresh mushrooms in a tablespoon of butter and sprinkled garlic powder over them and then added them into the crock pot. Finally, I used 3 tablespoons of cornstarch to make it just a little thicker gravy. A keeper in the favorites - I will definitely make this one again!.Thank you!

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Very tasty and easy to prepare. The only change I made was to decrease the amount of cream cheese and add in a little grated cheddar cheese instead.

Sorry to say this was a bit of a disappointment. The sauce was much too thin for our family.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Excellent recipe. Very easy to prepare. I did use a package of Knorrs Brown Gravy Mix together with the beef broth to give it a little more flavor and instead of mashing the carrots I simply cut them into slices and layered them with a can of corn. A keeper for my family. Thank you.

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2007
Excellent recipe! I served it with goulash over whole wheat egg noodles last evening. The only thing I may suggest is to add a little more olive oil to the recipe but other than that it was exceptionally good. Thank you for the recipe.

Beef Stroganoff III

I was looking for an easy tasty receipe and found it in this one. The only modification I made was to elminate the wine and at the end I ended up mixing in another tablespoon of flour with some of the broth in the skillet to thicken. A keeper will make it again!

Sorry to say not a big fan of this recipe. I have made it several times using some of the suggestions made by others but it turns out a bit too dry for my family's taste.
