Sweet Restaurant Slaw
I haven't taken the time rate or review a recipe in a long time; however, this recipe is worth reviewing. It is seriously amazing! Earlier this summer, I had to prepare a few meals for a group of 300+. This was by far one of the items everyone ranted and raved about. I didn't change a thing, (although the dressing goes a long way. So if you are making a large amount of coleslaw, I recommend only adding some of it, mixing it with the cabbage, and then adding more as needed.) I also suggest adding more actually coleslaw mix to the dressing. Once the dressing is poured on, the coleslaw mix shrinks down quite a bit. The dressing itself is perfect! The only thing I have ever left out is the poppy seeds, simply because I forgot to buy them. It was delicious just the same. I have used the slaw on barbecue pulled pork sandwiches (like at Cafe Zupa's.) I have also used it just as a side. The only tip I would give is that when I serve it just as a side, I love to have bacon cooked and chopped, as well as peanuts chopped (if no one is allergic), and set on the side for people to top their slaw with if they want. Divine! Thank you so much for this recipe!!!!

Cashew Chicken II
My whole family loved this recipe! I made a few adjustments for what I had on hand. I didn't have celery or bamboo shoots, so we added some big slices of onion, some sliced carrots, and some green onions. The only other things I added where 1/8 tsp. sesame seed oil and 1 tsp. rice vinegar. Oh, and I toasted the cashews in the oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes, (maybe less time - just until brown. Really brings out the flavor.) I thought I should also note that I used a level 1/3 of cornstarch. This may be obvious to some, but I normally do rounded tablespoons, so I wasn't sure if this was a rounded or level 1/3 cup. I followed the rest of the recipe to a T, and it was perfect. Delicious!!

Chocolate Surprise
Loved these cookies! I actually looked up the ingredients hoping to find these, because my friend's similar recipe just said, "put a marshmallow on top." And I didn't know if it meant a large or small one. (I made large cookies and put a whole large marshmallow on top. My family loved it, but I am not big on marshmallows.) I think a halve of the large is perfect. As for the frosting: with the trouble everyone is having, try substituting the 1 cup of white sugar with 3 cups of powered sugar. (As my friend's recipe calls for. Here is the exact frosting recipe: 1 square unsweetened chocolate(or 3 tbsp. cocoa and 1 tbs. shortening or oil), 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup milk, 3 cups powered sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Melt chocolate. Add butter and milk. Bring to a boil, while stirring constantly. Stir while boiling for 1 minute. Sift in powered sugar. Mix well. Add vanilla and stir in well. After you let cookies cool, frost them.) Do not overcook. I tried 10 minutes and they were too dry. Stick to 8 minutes. Good luck!
