Easy Ham and Noodles

Easy comfort food. Used sharp cheddar, broccoli and lots of pepper. Very Good.

I maded these exactly as stated in the recipe and they came out great. Much better than my ususal Aunt Jemima Mix. This is now a weekend ususal. I think some people are mistaking baking soda for baking powder since there are referrals to salty and base pH problems. Don't use baking soda.

Baked Seafood Au Gratin

I followed the recipe exactly as stated and it was perfect. You don't need lump crabmeat for this as the crabmeat forms a type of crust. I used "special" and it worked fine.

Chicken Pasta - Shannon Style

This was a nice change from the normal chicken pasta dishes. It will definitely be a regular for my family. Frying the chicken first adds much flavor. I also tried adding canned dices tomatoes which worked well.

Crisp Oatmeal Cookies

These are so light and crispy they hardly seem like an oatmeal cookie. I added coconut but not the chocolate chips.It was wonderful, next time I may try adding butterscoth morsels as I think they would go well with this cookie.

Hard Rock Candy

This recipe makes great candy but it is not what I think of as rock candy; this is what I call stained glass candy. Rock Candy is traditionally crystallized on a string or wood skewer. This candy comes out smooth and clear as glass.
