Chili Mac

This was very good and simple for a weeknight. I used a homemade taco seasoning that I found on allrecipes and a mixture of grassfed beef and venison, so this was a healthy recipe.

Vegan Black Bean Soup

This soup is a keeper. My family loved it. I used dried black beans that had been soaked and cooked first. It sounds like a lot of chili powder and cumin, but don't be tempted to reduce the amount of spice. It's just right.

Mary's Meatloaf

My family really liked this, even my husband who doesn't really like meatloaf. I used 1/2 cup oatmeal instead of breadcrumbs and truvia instead of brown sugar and 1/2 ground turkey and 1/2 grassfed beef. I baked it in the crockpot on low all day.

Cream Corn Like No Other

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

I just fed this to 7 kids and they ate it all and asked for more! I used 14 oz of pasta instead of 8 and it was not at all too dry or thick. I used fun fall shaped pasta which are bigger than regular macaroni.

Dorsey's Fish & Oyster House Crab Cakes

These crab cakes were yummy...even my 9 year old, who didn't want me to make them, asked for seconds. I used whole wheat pastry flour instead of white flour and it worked great. I also made them earlier in the day and refrigerated them in the ball shape. They held together nicely.
