About this Cook
Older guy with a good attitude, love to cook, love to eat, love to drink and love to love. My wife, two children and I reside in a modest home outside of Detroit. I do 95%+ of the cooking in our home and I haven't had too many complaints.
My favorite things to cook
Whatever everyone enjoys, we do our best but you can't make everyone happy all the time. If I had my way we would have "Mohawk" limburger cheese in the jar on Polish rye with a slab of Bermuda onion, salt and fresh ground pepper.
My favorite family cooking traditions
A favorite with our family for as long as I can remember is the summer cookout tradition of grilled stuffed puppies, their delicious.

Bacon Wrapped Pork Medallions
Prepared according to recipe and couldn't have been happier with the pork. Even the time was perfect. I pulled the medallions out of the oven and an instant read thermometer read 147*....perfect BUT...after removing the medallions to a warm platter I returned the pan to high heat and added 6 thinly sliced cloves of garlic and 1/2 stick of butter. Allow garlic to just begin to sauté and add 1 cup chardonnay, 1/3 cup lemon juice and a generous grind of black pepper. Reduce by 1/3, and stir in 1/2 cup Romano or parmesan cheese and serve over 1LB. linguini in a large bowl with a little more cheese on top.
