Pear Pie III

I made this with ~2 medium sized bosc pears sliced thinly, 1/4 cup sugar, 3 eggs, 1/4 cup butter. This was just the right amount of sweetness for my family (we don't like desserts overwhelmingly powered by sugar.) I used a regular pie crust and the filling was not enough to go to the top. I would definitely add more custard filling next time and alternate layers of sliced pears with custard instead of pouring custard just on top. Delicious and easy recipe. Will definitely make again.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

I used 1/2 to 1/3 less sugar and substituted plain greek yogurt for the water called for. Came out delicious and moist the 3-4 times i made this. This is my pumpkin bread staple!

Buttery Soft Pretzels

I used 1 packet (1 gram) of stevia instead of sugar and 4 cups of flour instead of 5. Used the dough attachment on my mixer and this came out looking a little dry. I resisted the urge to add more water as this is a dry bread and letting it rise. The dough was fighting me when it was time to roll out but wetting my hands with the baking soda mixture resulted in a long easy to weave dough. Baked it for 10 minutes on a pizza/bread stone and ate this with a sprinkle of powder sugar & cinnamon right out of the oven (yes, i am a carb-a-holic). YUMMY! Thank you for sharing this easy recipe.

Great recipe. This turned out puffy & yummy. I took a hint from the sponge cake recipes, I used a blender to fluff the eggs before adding the rest of the batter ingredients into the blender. This helped the rise quite a bit in the oven and saved a lot of time.
