Mango Blueberry Muffins With Coconut Streusel

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2011
These are amazing! I used 1/4 cup canola oil, and 1/4 cup of applesauce for the butter, and half whole wheat, half white flour. I kept everything else the same and made 12 muffins. Definitely yummy!

Scottish Oat Scones

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
Excellent! I used half whole wheat, and half all-purpose flour, subbed applesauce for half the butter, added 1/2 tsp orange extracts, and used blueberries instead of currants. With raspberry jam they're amazing!

Spiced Applesauce muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
These were yummy muffins, a very nice combination of spices. I added 1/4 cup wheat bran, used fat-free vanilla yogurt, and omitted the nuts.

Jiffy Jambalaya

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
This was really good, and everyone in my family liked it. I did use 1 1/2 cups of brown rice cooked in chicken stock for the minute rice, and omitted the extra 1/2 cup of water. I also used 1 tsp of cayenne pepper for the hot pepper sauce. Very yummy and quick!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
I made this today using 2 cups of zucchini and about 1 cup of mashed banana. I also substitued apple sauce for half the oil, and half whole wheat flour for half of the all purpose. I baked it in a bundt pan for about 1 hour 10 minutes, and it turned out amazingly good. I've made the original recipe as well, and that was equally as yummy!

Honey Wheat Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
This was a pretty good recipe considering there is no sugar or white flour. They have a different texture than normal cookies, but I used wheat germ instead of wheat bran which may have something to do with it. I might try adding a banana and some oatmeal like some other reviewers have done next time. I also thought they taster better once they had cooled.

Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2010
These were really good, I don't know why people would give them below 4 stars. I used 3/4 cup of peanut butter, semi-sweet and milk chocolate chunks, and 1 cup of whole wheat flour instead of white. My favourite thing about these cookies is how well they held there shape, no flat little discs here! They also tasted amazing, just the right amount of PB flavour.

Chewy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
These were pretty good. I made some alterations though, like others to make them a bit healthier. I used 1/3 cup of applesauce, and 1/3 cup butter. Added a 1/3 cup of PB, subbed whole wheat flour for all-purpose, completely left out the sugar, and used only 1 cup of regular chocolate chips. They taste amazing, but like other reviewers have posted they are a bit crumbly. I'll definitely make them again though and maybe add some more honey or applesauce.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
These were amazing. My family loved them, and they were the perfect solution to a no-eggs crisis. The only thing I did differently was instead of using all semi sweet chocolate chips I used 1/2 cup each of milk, semisweet, and white chocolate chips.

Apple Strudel Muffins

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
These were pretty good, I didn't think there was a very strong apple flavour though. I made them with some changes o ther people had made, grating 1 cup of apple and then chopping the rest, plus 1/2 cup brown and 1/2 cup white sugar. Not bad though.

Alan's Ultimate Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
These muffins turned out fantastic! I would definitely recommend them, especially if you're trying to up your fibre intake. I made some changes because I didn't have all the ingredients. -I used white flour instead of whole wheat -Omitted the barley malt stuff because I didn't have any -Used 2/3 cup of cane sugar instead of honey= sweeter! -Added 1 tsp of cinnamon -Used dried apricots, raisins, and dates about 1 1/4 cups total -used one mashed banana to replace one of the eggs ... And they're really yummy!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
These were my leftvoer Halloween candy cookies. I had left over smarties and Reese's piecec that I added instead of chocolate chips. I also used half white and half all-purpose flour. They were great!

Autumn Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
These were awesome! I made a couple of changes, half butter half applesauce, pecans instead of hazelnuts, and raisins instead of figs. I also subistituted some whole wheat flour for the white. I would definitely recommend making these, and next time I think I'm going to try the pumpkin suggestion from another baker.

Delicious Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2008
This was really good, I was pleased with the results. I did make quite a few changes though. Like other reviewers I used half applesauce and half oil, I only used two cups of sugar and used half whole wheat, half all-purpose flour. In addition to that I also added some more spices, 1/2 tsp cloves and 1 tsp allspice. I didn't have any 7x3 pans so I just poured the whole thing into a 9x3 pan and baked it at 335 degrees for about 1hr and 20 minutes. It was huge but very yummy!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2008
I jusst ahd one of these out of the oven and they were out of this world. I don't like it when cookies really spread out, and these were perfect, they weren't flat like pancakes, and they also didn't turn out like little hockey pucks. Absolutely my favourtie recipe from now on!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2008
I just baked these, and they were awesome. Perfect for all the fresh blueberries this time of year! The only changes I made were to bake only 9 muffins with one batch of batter, so I got slightly larger muffins. There is more of the crumb topping then I needed so, next time I'll probably half that part of the recipe. Really good muffins though!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
These cookies were amazing, but I did make a lot of changes to them. I used 1 cup of butter, 1 cup of brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of raw blue agave syrup, used 1 cup of Kraft smooth PB, and 1/2 cup of natural PB. I used 1 1/2 cups of old fashioned oats, 1 cup of all-purpose flour and 3/4 cup of whole wheat, and added 1 tsp of vanilla. Altogether, they turned out to be amazing cookies, and bit healthier than the original as well! They got even softer in the days after, which we all thought was great.

Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
I thought these were pretty good. I'm not sure about the texture though. I did make a few changes: I used half oil and halg butter, ground old-fashioned oats instead of quick ones, and like another reviewer, increased the baking soda to 1 1/2 tsp and the baking powder to 1 1/4. They still taste amazing though!

Easy Microwave Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2008
This was disgustingly easy! It was amazing, and so fast! I had no idea that anything like this was even possible. I used some of the suggestions posted by other people and used 3/4 sugar (altogether) and 3 tbsp of cocoa. It was really good, especially if your just craving chocolate carbs! Next time I think chocolate chips would take it out of this world!

Easy Morning Glory Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
Very good! I made a few changes though. I only used half a cup of oil with half a cup of apple sauce, 1 cup of white sugar, sweetened cocunt instead of unsweetned, and I didn't have any eggs so I used flax eggs. (Put 1/4 cup flax seeds in a blender or food processor and grind a couple seconds, then slowly add in 3/4 & 2 tbsp of water. Blend all this together for 5 minutes, and you get flax eggs!- Very healthy and you can't taste the difference. YOu use 1/4 of the mix per egg in the recipe.) I'm definitely going to make these again!
