Soy Milk Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
Perfect. Only thing I did differently was left out the almond extract as I did not have any. They were great though, recipe is a keeper.

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2010
I couldn't figure out why this tasted so strange... then I remembered I had used cloves with it. Do not put cloves in if you make this soup. I wasted 4 huge, perfect tomatoes on this soup. I may try to make it again, withOUT the cloves and I think I will remove the skin from the tomatoes as well.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
Exactly how homemade lasagna should taste. I did omit adding salt as other reviews suggested and I didn't do the "dutch oven" or bake it for 45 minutes. I prepared the sauce in a skillet and let it simmer for about 25 minutes while the water and noodles boiled. Then I assembled it and put it in the oven just long enough to melt the cheese and it was perfect. Served it to my family and now they're all bugging me for the recipe! I keep telling them, just go to allrecipes.com and search for "World's Best Lasagna"!!!

Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2008
Very good, prepared almost exactly as described. I only added 1/2 cup water to the bottom of my baking dish and one additional seasoning from Pampered Chef (crushed peppercorn and garlic) This was very juicy, tender and delicious. I served it with pork gravy that I made last week and had frozen to keep on hand.

Party Pinwheels

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2007
These were not phenomenal by any means. I thought they would be great because of the reviews but I was not impressed. The prep time alone, I was surprised by, especially when it only ended up making 5 rolled up tortillas and then I refridgerated them over night and when I served them the next day they were just not all that great. The tortillas were slightly soggy and doughy, probably from the moisture in the veggies. And the flavor was just not that great. BBQ meatballs would have tasted much better and been much easier as well. I think I will keep searching for a crowd pleasing appetizer.

Not Red Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2007
This was very flavorful, although I did add about twice as much butter and wine than the recipe called for, as I wanted to make sure there was enough to coat all of the noodles. I also added 2 minced garlic cloves and a little olive oil. Also, the mushrooms kind of broke apart when cooking them with the sausage, so I couldn't really taste them very much. Maybe next time I will wait to add them, until the sausage is browned and crumbled.

Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2005
I substituted as many ingredients to Light as I could, such as light mayo, 98% Fat free cream of mushroom soup, reduced fat shredded cheese, I used one egg and one egg white and I used fresh broccoli rather than frozen. It was very good but for some reason I enjoyed it more reheated the next day than when I made it that night.
