The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
By far the best peanut butter cookie ever, if I make them I have to give most away as I literally cannot stop eating them. They make great peanut butter blossoms at Xmas also, just add hershey kiss!

Biscotti

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2008
Awesome recipe, I also swapped anise for 1/2 TB vanilla and almond extract, will use a bit more almond extract next time, tossed in chopped almonds and mini choc chips last time, this time am using walnuts and plan to dip in dark choc. Followed the tips from Anitalouise and used the pizza cutter, easiest best biscotti recipe I have used, shamefully admit I finished it all off in a matter of days!!

Granny's Swiss Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2006
I thought this recipe was very good, but I did make quite a few changes. Mainly I did not use cube steaks as I don't like them. I got round steaks instead. I browned those as directed and then tossed it all in my crock pot for the day on high. I was getting scared as the meat was not getting tender but after about 7-8 hrs it started to fall apart. The flaver these ingredients infused in the meat was fantastic, you would never know it was a cheaper cut of meat. I had so much extra sauce however that next time I will use much more meat. I did give the recipe to my neighbor who hunts as I thought this would be great for him to try on venison to detract from the gamey taste. This is not the same kind of swiss steak I have had in this area before(WI) I have never had one with a tomatoe base, but it was very delicious in it's own way. Thanks for sharing.

Chicken Stew with Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2006
this took me back to my childhood as well. I searched and searched and this recipe looked the best to me. The only variations I made are: I used a whole chicken and added extra water as needed. Next time I think I will just use chicken breasts as I am not a big fan of dark meat. I also used an extra potatoe and carrot. In the dumplings I used some parsley I dried myself. I found this recipe to be everything I expected and more. I plan to freeze some and see how that does too.

This is the most awesome recipe ever, very easy to make and fast. Most ingredients are on hand. I just buttered the pan, rather than paper. A++++++
