Brown Sugar Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
I used the marinade suggested in reviews with onion soup and also put an onion in the pan. My husband didn't like so much onion, but I thought this was excellent.

Chicken in a Pot

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2006
Didn't make as much sauce as I would have liked. I also didn't use mushrooms since I didn't have any. Other than that, great recipe.

Bev's Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2005
To much onion flavor for my hubby. This was fairly good to me, but I probably won't make it again.

Beer Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2005
Very juicy chicken, but not much flavor to it. Don't need so much beer. I probably won't make this again.

Mom's Beef and Beer

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2005
I was skeptical, but this was wonderful. Served over mashed potatoes and added frozen carrots. I used cube steak on accident, so probably didn't need to cook so long, but this was excellent.

Chicken Hurry

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2005
This was very good, the chicken was juicy and tender. I really like this sauce, but hubby doesn't really like so much onion. I may cut the soup in half for less onion flavor.

Chicken Nachos

Reviewed: May 13, 2005
Very good. We added salsa and sour cream as toppings. I also only made 2 layers. I think mixing the chicken and chilis before layering may have helped spread them both a little more evenly. I will also add tomatos before baking next time.

Soul Smothered Chicken

Reviewed: May 13, 2005
Excellent! I didn't have carrots or celery so I used a can of Veg-All. This was so good, even my 2 year old ate it (he doesn't eat anything!). So creamy and flavorful and the cayenne pepper gave it just the perfect kick. Thanks for this one, it will be a regular!

Chicken Adobo I

Reviewed: May 13, 2005
I thought this had a great flavor. I gave it 4*'s because it was to salty, but nothing I can't adjust next time. This one is a keeper for my family. I may try the baking idea or at least browning the chicken first. I thought it was kind of a pain to take it out to brown.

Stuffed Pepper Soup IV

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2005
Excellent recipe. This was much easier than stuffing peppers and tasted the same. I used one green and one red bell pepper and I added the minute rice to the soup instead of cooking separately. Very filling and tasty! This one goes into my recipe book for sure.

Italian Pork Chops Mozzarella

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2005
This was okay, but I won't make again. This would have been better with chicken, but I don't care much for pork or shake and bake for that matter.

Mexican Corn

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2005
Very hot! I used jalapenos from a jar and probably didn't use more than 6 slices. This was to hot for me and I like spicy food. I really liked the flavor though. Very creamy. I did use lite cream cheese, but doesn't seem to change the flavor of anything much. I will try next time with green chilies and onion powder and another time with fewer jalapenos. And maybe serve with a not so spicy main dish.

Twenty Minute Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2005
I cooked this all in one pan so it took a little longer than 20 minutes, but I loved it. I used about half the mushrooms because dh doesn't like them, but other than that, great recipie.

Chicken was excellent. Will make again with different combinations inside. Could have left out the cumin altogether. Used plain breadcrumbs.

Bacon Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2005
I took others advice and browned bacon a little beforehand. I added a bag of frozen vegetables (broccoli, red peppers, mushrooms, and onions) and used cream of mushroom soup. Served over rice. My family loved it. Chicken was very moist. We will make again and try different soups and vegetables.

Country Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2005
Great recipie and very easy. It has a few to many onions for my taste, but I will make again (with fewer onions). - Tried again, but cut entire recipe in half and used shredded colby-jack cheese instead of slices, no corn, and loved it!

Beef Nacho Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2005
My family loved this and my husband cooked it! He left out the corn, we added sour cream and tomato as toppings, used lite Miracle Whip, and used a combo of colby jack and cheddar cheeses. My 2 year old, who eats nothing mexican but bean burritos, loved it. Will definitely make again. For more "kick" try a spicier salsa. I also like the dip idea.
