Tina's Shortbread Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2006
These are so great! I've taken them and served them at many parties and always get compliments. I use milk chocolate chips to make them even more rich and omit the walnuts because we have nut alergies in our family. They never fail!

Granola

I love this recipe. We're never without a batch on hand! I like to substitute honey for the brown sugar but both are good. This recipe is so flexible! I also add allspice and cloves for extra flavour. If you're using the packaged dates, which are harder than fresh dates but more available, I cook them in a saucepan with about a 1/2 cup of water (or more if needed) for a few minutes until they soften. I add coconut & lots of chopped almonds as a standard. So good!

Parmesan Spinach Balls

Reviewed: May 6, 2005
I made these for an anniversary party and people came up to me all night telling me how good they were! Some said they didn't even like spinach but loved these. I also decreased the bread crumbs to 1 cup or so and i added 1 clove of minced garlic and some hot sauce. Make them small cause these suckers are filling!

Oatmeal Carmelitas

Reviewed: May 6, 2005
These were so easy to make! I took them to an anniversary party and everyone commented on how good they were. I used milk chocolate chips and pressed the crumb topping down a bit before baking so they wouldn't be as crumbly to eat. Amazing!

Absolute Mexican Cornbread

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2005
This is amazing! I follow the recommendations of others to decrease the butter and sugar by half and the eggs to 3. In addition I add lots of fresh chile or jalepeno peppers, we like our food spicy! I also use pepper jack cheese. It's sooo good!

Cheese Herb Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2005
This was amazing! I made a few changes, used grated Romano cheese because that's what I had and added about the same amount of old cheddar cheese too, I omitted the marjoram & oregano but added sage, crushed red pepper flakes & chunks of fresh garlic. The house smelled awesome and the bread tasted great!
