Tipsy Peaches

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
Wonderful and simple recipe! I used 2 oz of Jack Daniels instead of 1.5 and also a pinch of cinnamon. Served with Vanilla Ice Cream and it was great! Might add sliced toasted almonds next time for something special and crunchy!

Portobello Sandwiches

Great sandwich! I cut the oil to 2 tablesoons and used fat free mayo to cut down on fat. They were delicious! I will make these again.

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2007
I made this for Thanksgiving morning. It was just okay - nothing special. Will keep looking for another recipe. The bread was too bland and the cheese didn't really do anything for the whole dish. The flavors didn't meld together nicely either.

Make-Ahead Mashed Potatoes

These were good but not amazing. I would make them again, but am still searching for the perfect mashed potato recipe.

Golden Yam Brownies

Really not very good at all. I cut back on the sugar like others suggested and it wasn't very sweet. Used the topping and still not really sweet. I won't make again.

Ratatouille

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
Very good and not bland at all. Omitted the mushrooms because I did not have them. Added some mozzarella cheese on top because I thought it would be bland but it didn't even need it. Great quick recipe!

Penne Pasta with Spinach and Bacon

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
Pretty good - would make again but probably cut down on the bacon or use turkey bacon. It tasted good but pretty unhealthy.

Pretty good - a little bland but I did use lite ricotta cheese. Probably won't make again. Thanks

White Bean Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2008
This was very good! Used a rotisserie chicken I picked up at the store, frozen corn, salsa verde and omitted the coriander because I didn't have any. Topped with sour cream, crushed tortilla chips and cheddar cheese. This is similar to another recipe on the site, but I liked the flavor the salsa verde gave.

Great and easy recipe. I substituted ground turkey. You won't know the difference!

Creamy Dill Cucumber Toasties

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2006
Very good. I noticed the italian dressing flavor a little too much and tasted a little artificial.

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2006
This was really good. Everyone raved about it. Made it twice in one week. The first time, it took me a while to make, the 2nd time was much easier and quicker, which is to be expected. For those looking for a quick Tiramisu, this is your recipe. For those looking for a Tiramisu recipe, this is more like a cake and the cake IS pronounced. Nonetheless, this is a great recipe. 5 Stars!

Spaghetti Squash I

Not good! I may have cooked the spaghetti squash too long, but I thought this was bland.

Aloo Phujia

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2010
I thought this was pretty good and my husband loved it! I added some curry powder and doubled all the spices except the cayenne pepper. I cut the oil to about 1/8 cut which left it a little dry so I just added about 1/2 cup of water. Turned out great! I will make this again.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
The chicken was very moist (I used bone-in, with skin and just peeled the skin off when eating) but it wasn't flavorful enough for me. I thought the vinegar flavor wasn't strong enough. The only substitutions I made were real garlic, no rosemary and fresh thyme.

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
Just okay - even though I used turkey bacon and not regular, I'm not sure the regular would've made that much difference. A little bland, however, the bacon did keep the chicken moist.

This was an okay dish. Nothing to write home about. I added some sauteed red peppers to brighten it up.
