Restaurant-Style Hashbrown Casserole

My family loves Cracker Barrel hashbrown casserole, so I was very hopeful that this would fit the bill, and it did! I usually don't like to tweek recipes, but in this case I took the advice of one sage reveiwer and used colby cheese instead of cheddar and cut the butter in half. I made this for Christmas brunch and the pan was scraped clean, with many compliments. This is definitely a keeper and I can stop looking for the perfect hash brown casserole recipe!

World's Best Lasagna

I typically don't write reveiws, but I had to on this recipe. It was incredible. I followed the recipe to a tee, except for one small detail. Instead of boiling the nooldes, I placed them in a 9 x 13 pan of hot water and let them set for about 15 minutes, then patted them dry. They tasted like homemade lasagna noodles, without another big pan to clean and less timing consuming. My son made this for his girlfriend (with me assisting). Needless to say, she was impressed, and so was I. My mainstay lasagna recipe has now gone by the wayside!

Spicy Italian Pork Cutlets

Wish I could say this was delicious, but was very disappointed. Meat was tough and dry. Sauce was just ok. Maybe the meat should have been cooked on lower heat.

Creamy Veggie Fondue

I made this last night for a group of 20 teenagers and they all raved about it. I followed the recipe except left out the spinach. I thought it was quite good too! Didn't get much, but will definitely make it again ... yummy!

Champagne Cake I

Delicious ... I made this for my family, and gave leftovers to friends. They all raved. It was quite easy to make (I made mine in a spring form pan) and used canned cream cheese frosting. I also used asti spimante for the champagne. Enjoyed sipping a glass while preparing the cake!

Grilled Sea Bass

Delicious, easy, very flavorful. I will definitely make it again. I'm not an expert at fish preparation, so this was an experiment! Grilled outside in the snow-covered deck. Made with zuchinni medley.

Vegetable Medley I

Made this the other night for hubby and 2 teens. One teen didn't care for it, but other did. It was very easy to prepare and very good. I used stewed tomatoes instead of diced and added a can and a half. Tasted great, and better the second night. Might add ff onions next time. Good SB recipe.
