Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2013
Love this dip though I did omit the lettuce as it gets soggy quite quickly. Definitely a crowd pleaser!

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2012
I was having guests and made this 3 nights before to see if my family liked it. I had a backup recipe in case they didn't. I was pleasantly surprised, they load it!

I've made this for several years and lost my original recipe, though this one is close. So glad I found this one!

Beef Yakitori

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2011
I marinated overnite and this was delicious! I sliced it in thin pieces as you would find in an Oriental grocery. I subbed sesame oil for regular; red wine vinegar for lemon and added water to dilute the low sodium soy. This is now one of our rotators. Made 3 lbs and froze 1/2 for later, and it's already marinated!

Grilled Chicken with Herbs

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2011
The 1st time we used dried herbs and marinated the chicken for only 8 hours. It was just ok, I rated it 3 stars. This time I used fresh herbs, 1/4c balsamic called, and 1 tsp hot pepper flakes. Much better!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
These are fantastic! I cheated and bought chocolate chip cookie dough. I only needed to freeze them for 20 minutes, which was long enough for me to make the cupcake batter. Next time, I will use a different flavor cake mix. Thank you for sharing!

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
Wow, how easy! This was my 14 yr old daughter's first pie, and it turned out awesome! We did use 3/4 c. splenda and put 1/4 mashed berries in the pot with the cornstarch, sugar and 1/4 c water, stirred constantly until it boiled, then poured it over the berries in the crust. We also melted 4 oz of milk chocolate morsels and painted the crust. So tasty and pretty!

Pesto Cheesy Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
I rolled the chicken as thin as I could, and still it was a huge roll. I obviously had large chicken breasts. I also rolled it in egg & then bread crumbs. I didn't have mozzarella, so I used creamy havarti. This was very tasty. The changes I will make next time, is to flatten the chicken, put the filling, then top with another chicken.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
My husband requested Au Gratin Potatoes for his birthday dinner last night. My daughter found this recipe and it was a huge hit! We left out the onions, but next time we'll saute them with the butter. We made 1-1/2 recipe of the sauce and put it in the microwave for 15 minutes then convention baked it for 30. So easy, and delicious, thanks CathyM.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
This was just ok for my family. Too salty for us. Though it was quick there is nothing really special about it. We preferred the Zesty Slow Cooker Barbecue much better. Thank you for sharing.

This was great. I used what I had as it was too cold to go to the store. It was a tad salty, so next time I'll take that into consideration!

I followed the suggestion of others: cut the butter in half. I also used 1/4 c. of white wine, & Old Bay Seasoning. I served this over linguine. My family loved it! Next time I will add clams.
