Italian Sausage Soup

Wonderful flavor. This was a big hit. I shredded my zucchini only because we like it better that way in soup.

Extra Easy Fudge

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2010
Very good! For some fun you can put the still warm fudge into a cookie press and press out fun shapes onto wax paper. Refridgerate until stiff and place on a platter for a pretty display. We do this at Christmas in the shapes of christmas trees, stars, etc.

Basic Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
This soup tasted great! I didn't have a ham bone so I used 3 cups chopped ham left over from Christmas dinner. Also, I brought my dry beans to a rapid boil and then removed from heat and let sit for 4 hours. When it was time to finish the soup I drained the beans and filled with 6 cups fresh water; the beans only had to cook for an hour before they were tender. I then added my ham and cooked for another 20 minutes. I like my bean soup to be thick. If you have the time I recommend this method. I made "Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread" by BETHANYWEATHERSBY also on allrecipes. It was a great accompaniment to the soup.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
Mmmm! This cornbread was fabulous. I didn't have any buttermilk so I used 1 cup skim milk and removed 2 tbsp. I then added 2 tbsp lemon juice and let sit for 5 minutes. Works like magic. I made this cornbread with a Basic Ham and Bean Soup recipe by J. A. McConville also on allrecipes. It was a great meal.

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
Great recipe! The biscuits turned out big and fluffy. I only needed about 1/2 cup of milk instead of the 1 cup the recipe calls for.
