Easy Sausage Strata

I have been making this actual recipe for a couple of years now. It's perfect for a brunch gathering and I love anything you can put together the night before. We had it today for Easter morning and again it was a hit...actually the entire thing is GONE. I have made it with both turkey and regular pork sausage and I prefer the turkey. My stepson and husband prefer the pork. The pork sausage is a tad on the salty side for me but that has to do with sausage quality, not the recipe. You can doctor this recipe a million different ways. Next time I may add some Rotele tomatoes for a Mexican flavored twist!

Polish Cabbage Noodles

I have to admit I had my doubts about this recipe. I was afraid it was going to be very bland. That said I made it because I had cabbage that I didn't know what to do with. I really really loved this simple dish. I did cut the butter in half and added broth for flavor... along with salt, onion powder and paprika. I also had a little concentrated chicken broth paste from Trader Joe's at the end. The left overs were delish... I may try it next time with some smoked sausage!

Blue Cheese Burgers

My husband raved about these burgers. He was addicted to the Bleu Cheese Burgers from Costco and they have discontinued them. I thought I'd try to make them on my own. I scaled the recipe down to 6 servings and followed it exactly except for throwing some extra cheese in (can never have enough cheese). My husband cooked them on the grill and I feared the worst...cheese oozing, over cooked, HECK no! He loved them! He said "Do not modify this recipe!" when I started making suggestions found in the reviews. He ate three bunless burgers and I have three uncooked burgers left over, which he wants again for dinner tonight. I do not like blue cheese so I didn't taste them, going on what hubby said. I'll be making a big batch and freezing them for quick dinners. Thanks!
