Slow Cooker Roast Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
Are you kidding me, this meat was soooo moist, literally melted in my mouth. We had a busy night at our house, the boys ate it after 12 hours, then kept it on low, and the girls ate after 15 hours. Wonderful! Will make again and again.

Italian Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2005
Great recipe, easy and covers the basic love of a good vegi soup. Nothing fancy, just what you expect from a good home-cooked soup. My husband loved it, and he's a very simple meat and potatoes guy. Will make it again for sure!

Apple Crisp II

Yep, yummy, yummy! Too rich when you daouble the topping. Go one and a half times I think. Use a little less water, and tart apples! Great recipe!

Chocolate Covered Easter Eggs

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2005
These were fun and easy, until the dipping came along. I'm just not practiced at dipping chocolates. But the eggs are even great without the chocolate coating. Make the eggs small or they are too overwhelming for the consumer. All flavors are excellent!! Use two forks when lifting out of the chocolate. Will definately make again.

Cream Cheese Penguins

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2005
Very cute, and fairly easy. Too hard for my kids to do well, but older kids could manage. They were so cute no one at the gathering wanted to eat them. But a few were curious and dug in, and thought they were pretty good. They got alot of attention as a cute conversation piece. Will make again!

Almond Mandarin Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2005
This is absolutely the best salad in the world! I added the craisins, and it was an EXCELLENT touch! I doubled the recipe, and 10 adults nearly went through it! RAVE reviews! In the future when I choose to make a different salad, I think I will always wish I made this one instead! But I don't want to over do it! I served it with a wonderful egg casserole from this site called Brunch on th Bayou, and it was the perfect complement! All my guests were VERY, VERY complementary and wanted all the recipies! I was so pleased!

Brunch on the Bayou

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2005
After my brunch guests left I felt like some kind of cooking star. This dish brought rave reviews from everyone!! (the kids wouldn't touch it, but never eat egg dish anyway, I had homemade waffles for them) It was so different from your run-of-mill egg casserole, that people were looking foreward to trying it. My sister said it tasted much better than it smelled. I made 2 pans and that was a bit too much for 10 adults. I increased the sausage to a whole pound, and used spicy bulk sausage (not in the casing). I also used 1/2 Pepper Jack and 1/2 Monterey Jack (1/2 lb. of each). Broiled to brown the cheese for about three minutes. Then let it sit about 25 minutes before serving! Perfect! It had quite a kick. I served it with the best salad recipe in the world from this site: Mandarin Almond Salad (be sure to add the craisins). It was the perfect complement!

Way too much worcestershire sauce. My kids had a hard time touching this one, but they are very picky. Won't make again.

Easy Minute Steaks

Meat was dry, but adding cream of mushroom soup to the french onion soup made the most wonderful gravy. Will make again using thicker steaks!

Great recipe. Use cream of chicken soup instaed of broth. Just cook chicken in soup and add all other ingrediaents once chicken is cooked through. Then put in a double crust.

Great! Wouldn't change a thing! Saute mushrooms after removing from marinade just before serving until lightly brown. Reserve wonderful marinade, great for dipping bread and pouring over steak at the table. Rave reviews from family!
