About this Cook
I love life, and my grandchildren. My dream of retiring in nature came true. All though how and why so early was not a dream.
My favorite things to cook
Italian, baked deserts, Mexican and american and all its wonders.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother use to make bread and other baked goods during the depression and sell them on street corners to support her family, I can still smell her Cinnamon rolls. I love to continue her recipes I have updated them for the bread machine. But they still fill the home with love.
My cooking triumphs
My cakes and pies are my largest triumph, made and sold them, cookies too. for years.

Juicy Roasted Chicken
Didn't change a thing on the recipe itself it was great, but I did change the cooking method. Using my turkey roasting pan, I placed the chicken breast down for the first 45 mins, then turned it breast up for the last half hour, delicious, skin crisp and just the right color of brown.

Honey Baked Chicken I
This is very good, we enjoyed it so much, perfect dish for a cool autum night. I doubled the garlic and pepper and then I Qudrupled the entire seasoning to have enough to put in a salt shaker,, easier then rubbing,, great combination for other items later on. Will do again.

Cinnamon Rolls I
This recipe is a winner. I added pecans and when the oven timer went off I left them in the oven so that the bread wouldn't be doughy. Warning though, don't make them and then go out of town for a day, my friend that fed my dog ate them all. I didn't get a one.
