Spring Lime Tea Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
These were soggy and dough-ey tasting. They didn't seem to want to come off the cookie sheet either, so I was left with a crumbly mess of soggy cookies.

Real Italian Calzones

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2006
thanks for making me look like a pro in the kitchen!! presentation was absolutely beautiful! Adjustments: I used cooked bacon instead of pepperoni, and i added spinach and onions. I used Swiss (and whatever else we had on hand) instead of Cheddar and I cut down on all cheese by half (for a more healthy meal). marinara sauce on the side definately adds something.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2006
Pretty tasty. We used cilantro, as other viewers suggested, instead of oregano; but it lacked something. We added some crushed red pepper and cayenne at the end, which seemed to do the trick; but I would suggest to others to try adding jalepeno or habenero pepper with the chicken (while it's simmering) to give it a kick.

Curried Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2005
mid-preperation of this meal, i was skeptical because the aroma was...well, different...almost bad smelling. but the chicken itself, much to my surprise, turned out really delicious! i couldn't eat a whole lot of it though because it is awefully rich, so i would suggest serving smaller pieces. we paired it with steamed broccoli and a date and walnut wild rice dish. YUMMMM!!

Spicy Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2005
fantastic! the only changes we made were adding two chopped bell peppers, using real garlic (two-three cloves)instead of garlic powder, and adding onions (one-two med. size). and we served it over rice. easy and tasty!

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2005
"I'm speechless. I'm actionless. All i can do is sit here and revel in how good this is!" Direct quote from husband. We did follow the suggestions of other reviewers: omitted butter (used non-stick frying pan) for healthier meal; used sirloin instead of beef chuck; added 1 Tbs. Worchestershire sauce; added two garlic cloves; used 1 diced yellow onion instead of green onions; and used fresh mushrooms.

Date Nut Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2005
not bad, but not very good either. i baked it for an hour on 350F, as other reviewers suggested, and it turned out kindof rubbery and tasteless. it's ok if you toast it and slather on the butter, but i don't think i'll use this recipe again.

Moroccan Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2005
terrific! i included chopped potatoes instead of cannellini beans, fresh tomatoes instead of canned, i added cilantro and chicken broth as other reviewers suggested, and i did not puree the soup. the result: a thick, hearty stew...a unique blend of flavours...and delicious served with warm naans (a recipe i also found at Allrecipes.com).

Prune and Olive Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2005
the chicken had a good flavour, but i was alittle disappointed with the sauce...there wasn't any! the chicken was alittle dry too, so i guess next time i won't cook it for the whole one hour; and i'll also chop the prunes (instead of halving) to disperse the flavour and so that you don't get these giant mushy bites of prune. and definately add more olives and capers.
