Pasta e Fagioli I

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2005
I have made this soup before, but I didnt find the recipe here, however it is almost exactly the same. To make this a one dish meal, cook 1 lb of lean ground turkey in with the onion and garlic. I also use 2 cans of cannellini beans. To the herbs and spices, I add 1 tsp. of chopped fennel seeds. It is a perfect dinner on a cold night. I probably make this once every 2 weeks during the winter.

French Bread Rolls to Die For

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2005
This recipe turned out very good. It was easy to knead with out adding alot of extra flour. After shaping the dough into balls, you can freeze them. Just thaw covered in the refrigerator, and then rise for 40 mins as usual. I agree that it could use more salt or sugar or something.

Fabulous French Loaves

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2005
This turned out pretty good, but it turned out like the loaves of french bread that I avoid buying at the grocery store. It didnt have the gourmet bakery look and taste, However, it was pretty good on the first day and for french toast the second day.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2005
mmm, these are tasty. I mixed the whole recipe with a wooden spoon vs. electric beaters, so it didnt have a cakey texture. I have used this as the basis for many cookie recipes like White Chocolate Macadamia. Also, for that picture perfect look, I only mixed in 1/2 the chips, and then dropped the dough into a bowl of remaining chips, and baked that side up. It gives it the "nestle toll house" cookie look! People comment at how beautiful they look.

Scalloped Corn

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2005
I have made this year after year at both Thanksgiving and Christmas. It has become a staple at our family dinners. I have even caught people eating it for dessert. I usually make it in a stoneware dish.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2005
This recipe does turn out very well! Tip: Do not use a mixer and do not cream the butter. Make this entire recipe with a wooden spoon. I think this makes cookies puff up too much and then colapse after cooking, making them less chewy!
