Beef Tips

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2015
I made this tonight...according to other reviews I made this in the crock-pot and omitted the salt. I had to make a few changes. I did omit the additional salt because I felt the soy sauce and Worcestershire were enough and I am glad I did. I did not have the gravy mix, but I still wanted a more gravy like consistency so I added a can of mushroom soup. When I got home, there was a layer of grease on top and it was very watery (soupy). I added a can of cream of chicken soup and made a slurry to make it thicker. The cream of chicken soup was the kicker...added a great taste. However, I would use a chuck roast instead of stew meat (stew meat seemed to disintegrate into almost nothing.. omit the vegetable oil..the meat gave enough grease in the crock-pot. I really like the added cream soups...gave it flavor and consistency.

White Sangria

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2012
I love this Sangria! I do not like white wine, but I do now. I have made this time and time again. I have used frozen Mangos and peaches...but grapes and apples in it..loved it! This is a great recipe!

Rosemary Blue Cheese Ice Box Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
SUPER RICH! SUPER GOOD! I loved these. Took to a cookie exchange and people were disappointed that I did not take more. These did not have a strong blue cheese taste. People at the cookie exchange were first reluctant because a lot said they did not like blue cheese but once they tasted these they were pleasantly surprised. I will make these again and again and again.

Angel Pillows

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
these cookies turned out to be very very soft and crumble upon touch. The icing was very very sweet (powder sugar and apricot jam)...still very good.

Custard Pie I

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2011
has a custard consistancy, but I have to agree tasted like sweetened eggs...not sure what I was looking for since I have never made custard pie before, but this was not was I was looking for. Will try another recipe

Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2011
This was OKAY...not great. Used cream of chicken soup and homemade mashed potatoes...don't think I will make this again. Will have to try different recipes.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
I have made this bread twice and it was moist and fantastic! I took other reviewers advice and added a little cinnamon. However, the 2nd time I did not have enough bananas and added sweet potatoes...it really turned out great!!

Uglies

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
I have tried these in the past, but I found the BBQ sauce to be overwhelming. Will try Sloppy Joe mix in future.

Crustless Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2008
I loved this recipe. It gave a great base for a quiche. When I made this I added canadian bacon and jalepeno, added one additional egg. Turned out perfect! I also used a large muffin pan (6). Filled up each cup to the top and cooked for same amount of time, PERFECT!! Tonight, I used 1 med onion, 2 cups asparagus, 1 package of center cut bacon, 1 jalapeno, with swiss cheese. YUMMY!! Will do a lot more experimenting with this recipe.
