Creamy Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
This was perfect! We are not big fans of blueberry pie, so when we had fresh picked blueberries, we weren't sure what to make! This pie is fabulous, even for those of us who don't love fruit pies. Just as an FYI, you can use reduced-fat sour cream (it doesn't change a thing..) and you can cut down on some of the sugar if you want to because it is very sweet and you need vanilla ice-cream to cut some of the sweetness. Followed directions perectly and it came out great!!! Thanks for this recipe! Will make again and again!

No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2012
Fabulous recipe, everyone loved these. Also used less butter...I doubled the recipe to make in a 9x13, so I used about 1 3/4 cups, it was the perfect amount. Also added more PB to chocolate mixture...and did 1 cup milk chocolate and 1 cup semi-sweet...it turned out perfect. Everyone wanted the recipe!! :)

Tater Tot Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2006
My family loved this! I had read other reviews about seasoning the beef, so I also used a little garlic powder, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. VERY easy to make and reminded me of a shepards pie. I served with a veggie and some salad.. it was a great dinner!

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
Great recipe, except I did change it up a bit (used tips from other reviewers). Added worchestershire, A1, garlic powder and onion powder to ground beef. I also added more flour and more beef broth to make it 'creamier', which worked. I didn't use any ketchup, I didn't think it needed it. I omitted the carrots, because we don't like them, and used canned corn instead, which was just fine. I also made the potatoes creamier by adding more butter and some milk before whipping. Overall this is a wonderful recipe and my husband remarked on how much he liked it compared to the "boring" shepards pie that we usually try. I'll make this one again and again!

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2007
This is AMAZING!! Everyone LOVED it! I took someone's advice and drizzled some warm caramel over the brownies when layering it and I used Heath bar (all smashed up)over the cool whip layer to give it some more texture. It was SOOOO yummy, I have been asked for the recipe 3 times in a week!

Caramel Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
These are fabulous! I took others advice and doubled the dry goods (and butter) but I honestly think it just makes too much. These are SO rich, you can cut them into small servings, and so if you are making them just as a treat for your family, you only need to make them in an 8x8 or 9x9 pan and not double anything. On a side note, I used "Nut Topping" from the baking aisle, instead of chopped walnuts because I wanted a little taste of the walnuts, but not have them take over. I also melted the caramels in batches (with the cream) in the microwave.. saves so much time! I will make these again and again!!

This was EVERYTHING everyone promised it would be! To die for!! I used mini-chips, as recommended, and followed the recipe exactly. I served it with homemade whipped-cream and raspberries on the side. FABULOUS!!!!!!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2008
I made this for a girls night and it was just okay. I thought it was going to be "amazing", but really it's just chopped up fruit served with pita chips. Also, the fruit gets more and more watery as it sits there, so after an hour or so be prepared that its VERY runny and can be quite messy. It would actually be better if served as a dessert, such as an ice-cream topping, but not so great as an app.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
This was just okay. I was actually surprised it has had such great ratings. I took others advice (added more chilis, panko breadcrumbs w/butter on top.. put in oven, not micro..) and it came out ok but then as it cooled it hard and tough to eat. Maybe micro is the way to go. Will not make again though, and I LOVE spicy foods, but this lacked something. I'll stick with the Buffalo Chicken Dip which we like a lot. But if you try this, I wouldn't put it in the oven, or bother with the breadcrumbs, it only dries out this dip. Good luck!

Easy Beef Strogonoff

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
My family did not like this recipe at all, and we are not even picky eaters! Way too much sour cream and the beef mixture was bland. Will never make this recipe again.
