Restaurant-Style Coleslaw II

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2013
All we could taste was the lemon juice. It hid the flavor of everything else. It was also incredibly runny. I'll keep looking for another coleslaw recipe.

Meat Loaf Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
Absolutely the worst thing I've ever made on this site! Just disgusting! I even added more spices to flavor the meat, because this recipe calls for nothing except browned onions with the meat. It was absolutely awful and I'm so upset that I chose to serve this to my family. Save yourself the misery and just make a decent meatloaf with potatoes and corn on the side. And if you're really craving the pie crust then make a pie for dessert and you will be much happier!

Red Garlic Mashed Potatoes

These were great! But I did follow others advice and only added about a tsp of sugar instead of the 2tbsp. Everyone loved them!

Cheesy Potato Salad

Made this for a BBQ and took none home! That was a first for me. Everyone loved it and got a few requests for the recipe. Will definitely be making it for the 4th this year!

Salmon Steaks with Dill Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
This was just ok for us. We live in Seattle and so we get a lot of salmon here. I was looking for a dill sauce that I had on salmon before and this just wasn't it. The flour flavor didn't seem to blend in with the other ingredients. I think I was looking for a creamy sauce made with cream instead of flour. Other than our personal preference for the sauce, it was an easy way to cook salmon.

My kids beg for this chicken. It is so juicy and tender it far surpasses any other chicken I make.

Easy Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
This was a pretty good basic recipe. I added a chopped onion to the celery and carrots and sauteed them in butter. I added about twice as much salt, pepper and poultry seasoning as well as some garlic powder because we like things more savory. It was enjoyed by all!

Chicken Enchilada Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2008
This was very good, but I did modify it a bit. I cut the mayo in half and used sour cream for the other half like others suggested. I also boiled the chicken instead of baking it. Everyone loved it!

This is soooo delicious and easy to make. I double the brownie recipe to fill my dish and follow the rest of the recipe exactly. My neighbor calls it the Chocolate Trifecta! I never have any leftovers.

Overnight Apple Cinnamon French Toast

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2007
We did encounter the same cooking problems as everyone else, but had to give it 5 stars for its deliciousness! We baked it for the entire 75 minutes and it was a little soggy in the middle. Next time we will bake it for 90 minutes. We didn't want it too sweet so subsituted one freshly sliced, tart apple for the apple pie filling and it was awesome. This is a new family favorite!

Greek Penne and Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
Very tasty! We substituted Italian sausage for the chicken for a change of pace and used olive oil instead of butter. It definitely needed half the pasta and a little more feta and tomato for our personal preferences. Side note, don't warm too long after adding the feta, ours melted. But still very nice dish served with a crisp, green caesar salad. ENJOY!

Fantastic Lemon Butter Fillet

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
May have been better without the lemon pepper. It calls for quite a lot of lemon pepper and it overpowers any other flavor. Family didn't approve.

Garlic Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2007
These were very tasty! I used small red potatoes and cut them into 8ths. They cooked fine at the suggested temp, but I turned the oven to broil for the last 10 min to get them browned. I served them with the Parmesan Tilapia on this site and a green salad and it was a great meal!
