About this Cook
I love to cook and i've been cooking for about 2 years. When i became a vegetarian i started making dinners for the family that were meatless. they liked it most of the time but i still haven't convinced them to change.
My favorite things to cook
desserts, muffins, SWEETS! I also like making brunches with hash browns, pancakes, all the good stuff.
My favorite family cooking traditions
hhmm....let me think...i'm not sure if we have any cooking traditions besides making christmas cookies to give out each year. it's lots of fun getting to make 5 different types of cookies all in one day. yummy!! the smell of fresh baked cookies is unbelieveable.
My cooking triumphs
When i made the chewiest peanut butter cookies ever. good and yummy. they were really easy but oh so good. i found them at this website but don't remember what they were called.
My cooking tragedies
when i made cupcakes for more brother and the turned out puffy and crisp. i was very sad. something happend and they looked like volcanoes that exploded and they didn't have much flavor either. in about 10 minutes they went into the trash.

Butter Cake
ok. Probably the best cake I've made. It is really all in the technique. Having your butter, eggs and milk really makes a HUGE difference. I like to mix my cakes by hand and made sure to alternate the flour mixture and milk slowly into the butter mixure to make sure everything was incorporated. I filled these with raspberry jam and topped it with a peanut butter frosting that I made up. My friends loved these "peanut butter and jelly cupcakes" I made these in mini-muffin pans.

Chewy Sugar Cookies
mine didn't turn out as chewy as I expected them to. But they do look really cute. I made them and rolled them in different colors of sprinkles. Good cookie if you are short on time. Simple to make.

Hot Fudge Cake
So simple. I am amazed how the fudge sauce at the bottom forms. Really good with vanilla ice cream!
