Pork Salad Croissants

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2012
I made these to take to the ski hill- LOVED by all - including 7&8- so easy- best if made the night before to allow the flavours to 'marry'. I'm making them again tomorrow.

Mulligatawny Soup II

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2010
Great Soup!!! Just tweaked it a little to our taste. As others have said, didn't add the chiles- too hot for the kids, couldn't find curry leaves- so added about a tbsp of red curry paste, only added one can of coconut milk because that seemed ample. Served with some plain yoghurt on top and it made a really satisfying meal on a cool fall day.

Easy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
Excellent, Easy recipe- and really versatile. The first time I made them I added wheatgern instead of the almonds- probably only 1/2 cup though(no nuts at school) and then yesterday I added 1/3 c ground flax and some dried apricots, in addition to the craisins- My girls and husband LOVE them- great snack for school!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
Wow!!! These are fab!!. I made them as written- except the nuts (no nuts at school,...) so I added 1/2c raisins + 1/2c (or so) coconut instead- and I really think they may be the best cookies I have made- they stay soft and chewy in the middle- and kept well in an airtight container for about a week (who am I kidding- they didn't last a week)?

Karrie's Yorkshire Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2007
Before this recipe my yorkshires were always like hockey pucks because we're living at a high altitude. I mix up the batter in a blender several hours before dinner and just give it a whir every now and then- Thanks so much!!

Really good!- however this was after I too doubled all the spices, added about 1/2 c of chicken broth halfway through and cooked it for about 20 mins. total- 10mins with just the potatoes and spices and then 10 more after I added the cauliflower

Chile Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2005
while it was a little short on instructions, this is what I did: I used a shallow pan with a little olive oil on the bottom to prevent sticking and cooked it for a little less than 2hr- probably 1h40mins- DELICIOUS!!- Thanks for sharing- our two year old even liked it and she hates everything. I served it with a couple of steamed veggies on the side. I'm making it later this week for dinner guests.
