Wonderful! Definitely double the bacon. I cut this recipe in half and that was plenty for two people!

Basic Microwave Risotto

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2006
Excellent recipe. Try not to use a plastic microwave container because it could impart a plastic taste to the risotto. I like to vary this recipe by adding different things on different occasions: pesto sauce one night, tomatoes and basil another night, mushrooms and saffron another night. Use whatever you have on hand. Also, if you cut the recipe in half, watch the times very carefully. It gets a bit trickier to cook it like that.

Chicken Valdostano

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2006
Wow! I have a hard time buying chicken because it is so bland but this recipe rocks! Its definititey got some bite and pungency to it so its not for the faint-hearted (or those who like bland things :)) Next time I would definitely double the amount of ingredients for the mushrooom sauce. I could have used more of that stuff. I omitted the parsley and it turned out fine. Use a good dry wine (only one you would risk serving to guests), trust me, this makes a difference. I used homemade chicken stock (try it some time, way better) and gluten-free flour (worked perfectly). For those of you who are sensitive to gluten, use it in this recipe and you won't be left out! This is a good recipe to impress friends, parents, special people etc.

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2005
oh my goodness excellent dessert! Make it with kids, its a good teaching experience. If you ave a candy thermometer, just heat until its at "soft crack" stage. I reccomend cooking a little longer in the oven to crisp it up a little. good for fall!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2005
wow. If you like chewy fat cookies this is the cookie for you. I use milk chocolate chips because I prefer the sweeter style. These don't have that flour aftertaste and they aren't overpowered by the butter flavor. Excellent job to the maker!

Cajun Seafood Pasta

I would give this a 5 star but it wasn't as spicy as it advertises (in my house we love dishes with lots of kick:)). However, it was an excellent creamy dish and I wouldnt mind maing it again. Kind of expensive though...

Champagne Shrimp and Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2005
eeh..not my favorite. It is sweet and kind of different and maybe thats why I didnt like it as much as some dishes. The champagne idea was cool and it gave me yet another reason to drink it! If you like sweet cream sauces you will like this recipe.

Wow. THis dessert is in my new top Ten list! Make sure not to fill the tortillas too much. I had to use three of them for all the sauce. Excellent with vanilla ICe cream and cinnamon on top! Thanks for the suggestions.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2005
I don't know what I did wrong but these cookies were way too flat and broke apart as soon as I took them off the pan. I used margerine instead of butter but otherwise I kept the recipe the same.
