These cookies were really nice!! They taste very similar to the ones that I've made for years. I think that anyone who is saying that they're too hard, aren't watching them close enough. Cookies are very tempermental and you have to leave them in for just the right amount of time in order for them to turn out soft. Whenever the recipe says 10-12 minutes, maybe try 8-9 minutes and turn the cookie sheet half way through, which is what I do. They may not look done on the top but will be golden brown on the edges and once they cool you'll see that they are indeed done and will stay soft and moist.
