Roast Beef Burritos

Fantastic idea for leftover roast!! I usually hate the taste of day old roast but this was really good. I highly recommend this recipe!

Chinese Firecrackers

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2008
So, soooo yummy! I used ground chicken and the next time I think I'll try it with spring roll pastry like someone else suggested as they were a little too flaky for me with the phyllo. YUMMERS!

Pretty good! I love the idea of frying them first...it makes them nice and crispy.

Parmesan Chicken II

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2008
I loved this recipe. I followed all the other reviewers that suggested to mix bread crumbs with the cheese. I didn't have seasoned bread crumbs so I just added a teaspoon of italian seasoning. Very yummy and good enough for guests!!

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2007
This is my new favorite pizza dough! I followed other reviewers advice and used garlic infused olive oil instead of veg oil, I added italian seasoning to the dough and I too let it rise for 20 minutes after putting in my stoneware pan. I also baked the dough for 10 minutes (stoneware needs a little longer)before I added my toppings. YUMMY!!!

Roast Beef Sandwich Roll

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2007
This was good but a little dry. It needs some sort of sauce inside. Instead of a frozen dough I made one out of bisquick mix. 2 cups bisquick mix, 1 tsp or parsley, 1 tsp dry mustard, 1/2 cup of milk. Mix together and roll out. Place filling on it then roll up. Bake according to recipe.

Irish Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2007
Heaven! So melt-in-your-mouth good. I added 3 cans of soup and 4 cans of water and instead of poultry seasoning, I used italian seasoning. Also I used a homemade dumpling recipe for fluffy, yummy dumplings. 1 3/4c of flour, 2 tsp baking powder & 1/2 tsp salt all sifted together then 4-6 tbsp of butter cut in then 1 cup of milk. YUM!

Jenny's Jambalaya

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
Fabulous!! I used baby scallops instead of shrimp and I didn't drain the tomatoes. I followed someone else's suggestion and used 4 cups of broth as well as 2 cups of rice...I was cooking for 4 adults and 3 children. It was almost not enough!!

Sweet and Sour Spareribs

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
These were awesome!! I did boil them first to ensure a more tender outcome but I think next time I would skip that stage and just add most of the sauce at the beginning. As long as you cover the roaster with tinfoil while it's cooking and uncover it for the last half hour, you will get super tender ribs!!!! Use the leftover sauce to baste when done. So, so GOOD!! Also, I used half white vinegar and half apple cider vinegar.

Yummy! A great way to use up the leftovers. I added some leftover mashed potatoes as well and it worked great.

Chewy Caramel

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2007
Taste wise this is really nice but a little too soft for wrapping. I even used a candy thermometer, so I think firm ball stage may be a little better. I ended up using this as a dip but it still tastes great!

Lobster Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2007
This was fantastic!!! I used lobster flavoured pollock chopped really fine and added slightly less horseradish (since lots of reviewers suggested it) and it was gone super fast. Will make again and again.

Spinach Salad with Baked Goat Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2007
I loved this simple and elegant salad. I didn't have goat cheese slices so I used crumbled feta and it still worked. I would maybe add some cherry tomatoes and real bacon bits next time just to jazz it up a bit but lovely none the less.

Rigatoni Florentine

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2007
This was pretty good, although it was much better the next day as leftovers than the first day...to me at least. To be fair I did use ham instead of chicken cause I needed to use some up and I didn't have pasta sauce so I used tomato sauce and just seasoned it with some italian seasoning. Good.

Zesty Coleslaw

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2007
This was surprisingly good. I only had mayo so I used 1 1/2 cups of that...we like it saucy...and I added an extra tsp of horseradish and vinegar. It was really nice and tasted even better the next day.
