Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2005
Wonderful! So light and fluffy and a hint of sweetness. Also very easy and quick compared to some other breads I make. Will make again and again.

A Good Barbeque Sauce

A nice, tangy sauce. I give it a 3 1/2. Will make again.

Sun Dried Tomato and Asiago Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2005
Maybe this didn't reach it's potential because I didn't use a bread maker but I baked it @375 for 30min and it was heavy and chewy in the middle so I put it back in @350 for 10 min and it still didn't work. If I do this again, I'll do 2 small loaves and omit the pepper.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Very nice! The only change I made was to just add 1/2 tsp oregano. Very nice flavour!

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2005
A keeper for sure. Just make sure you lower the oven temp to 400 and maybe check after 30 minutes. It really depends on how thin you make the wedges. Watch out...they burn easily.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2005
This is a great sauce! The only thing I will do differently next time is a little less parm or I'll try using fresh instead. I found it to be a bit much, other than that...AWESOME!!!

Baked Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2005
This was only ok. To be fair I did use stewed tomatoes instead of sauce and also added chopped onions. It just didn't have much taste. I will try again using the pasta sauce as others have suggested.

Best Hamburger Ever

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2005
Sooo good! I took others advice and tweaked the recipe by only adding the pouch of onion soup mix and not the chopped onion and leaving out the rosemary. Also I didn't have any worcestershire and I used cheddar cheese and it turned out awesome!! For a little extra kick I added a splash of cayenne pepper sauce...YUMMY! Great recipe.

Chewy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2005
Pretty good. I added 3/4c butter, 3/4c honey, 3/4c flour then my raisins and chocolate chips. Also I cut baking time to 15min. Turned out chewy...still fall apart relatively easy but good none the less.

Marinade for Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2005
I feel bad contradicting everyone and I'm not saying that this wasn't a good recipe, it was nice and it made the chicken very tender...I just felt personally that it lacked the "WOW" factor that I thought it would have. It was a little bland for my taste. Good, but not great.

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2005
This was my first time trying to make cabbage rolls and this recipe was an easy one to follow, although it seems I need more practice rolling! I started them a little late in the day so I put them in the slow cooker on high for 4 and a half hours and they still turned out fine. Also I had doubled the recipe and had more meat mixture than cabbage leaves so I made a nice little french meatloaf with the leftovers. Good recipe!

Peanut Butter Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2005
Pretty good recipe! Although, I too thought it called for way too many chocolate chips and walnuts so I used 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of pecans and 1/2 cup chopped honey roasted peanuts (as per someones suggestion). They turned out great this way!

Fajita Marinade I

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2005
Yowza!!! I had some sirloin that I wanted to thaw in the fridge overnight so I whipped up this marinade and put the meat in with it. I didn't have any lime juice or liquid smoke so I used just under a 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1 tsp. worecestershire instead. It was still fabulous!

Easy Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2005
Pretty good. I added about 1 1/2 tablespoons of cream cheese for a richer sauce. I found it a little soupy but maybe next time I'll use a bit more flour. My husband loved this!

Buttermilk Seed Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2005
A great change from the everyday breads!! I didn't have buttermilk so I used the same amount of 2% milk and added 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of vinegar. Also, I didn't have bread flour so I just used all-purpose flour and it turned out awesome. Another idea is to grind up the flax seeds first as you get more nutritional value that way. You can use a blender or a coffee grinder. A keeper!!!
