Best Ever Muffins

I would say that this recipe was pretty good. I made it exactly according to the directions-no alterations! They are a mild sweet, which is fantastic. The only problem I had was that I mixed it in a plastic bowl and some of my dries got stuck at the bottom so I had to stir a bit more than I wanted to. I was worried that because of that they would've been dense, but they actually weren't! I baked them in a cupcake pan with no liners, just cooking spray. They were done with about 20 minutes. I would recommend setting the timer for 20 min and then testing them for done ness. Then add extra baking time 1-2 min at a time, as needed. And to top some of my muffins off, I sprinkled chocolate chips! Yummy! But in all honesty they are fantastic plain with no toppings, inserts, extracts, etc. Thanks for the easy muffins!

Deep Fried Corn Meal Sticks (Sorullitos de Maiz) with Dipping Sauce

I think that this recipe was delicious! It's 4/5 stars simply because I'm from a Puerto Rican household and I've had my fair share of sorullos so well, my standards are high. But this is a really nice recipe! Really crispy when fried, but soft inside. Oh and in terms of the mayo ketchup, I just make it to taste. Start with a dollop or two of mayo and a squirt of ketchup. Adjust to your taste. It's very forgiving. Yummy! Buen provecho!

Pretty tasty! I bumped milk to tablespoons. Just be careful with the salt. Put a little less than suggested and then try it! Yummy! (:

Best Brownies

Absolutely wonderful! I baked it just as directed. One note: I didn't use real butter (didn't have any) so I used that margarine/vegetable spread that comes in sticks (imperial brand 53% veg. Oil spread) and it turned out great. I used a glass 8x8 pan and baked it for 26 minutes. It came out nice and uniform with a surface that looked as though it had bubbles on it. The frosting however did not come together as it should have when made as directed. It was powdery. So to fix I added a SMALL splash of milk. I recommend making small splashes until you get that frosting consistency that you want. The frosting was still delicious! The brownies also taste great without the frosting. I'm definately making this again!!
