Very easy to make and tastes delicious. This makes great sandwiches. I will use this as my go-to recipe from now on. Thanks for sharing!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2007
This was very moist with just the right amount of sweetness. My non-cornbread eating hubby loved it, and that's enough to give it 5 stars right there! As soon as it came out of the oven, I rubbed approx. 2TBSP of butter over the top. Yummy!

Ham and Cheese Puffs

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2007
Yummy and so easy. I couldn't stop eating them. I used cheddar cheese because that's what I had on hand, plus I like cheddar better than Swiss.

Brown Sugar Banana Nut Bread I

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2006
Yummy! I didn't have 4 bananas, only 3, so I used 1/3 cup milk to make sure there was enough moisture. It worked great. Also, I added some cinnamon to the batter. I greased the pan and "floured" it with sugar which gave the loaf a nice added touch of sweetness. Also, I sprinkled some brown sugar and cinnamon on top before baking. After an hour, the middle was still a little gooey, so I turned off the oven and left the bread in for another 15 minutes, per another review. It was perfection!

Grilled Portobello Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2006
Yum, yum, yum. I marinated in Italian salad dressing for about 30 minutes, then topped with the red pepper mixture and grilled them on my Foreman. I used roasted red peppers from a jar because I forgot the red peppers when I went shopping. As soon as I took them from the grill, I topped with sliced provolone cheese. Superb.

Jen's Fresh and Spicy Salsa

Reviewed: May 31, 2006
Very good salsa recipe! I don't like jalapeno peppers, so I used a green bell pepper instead. Also, instead of garlic powder, I added a spoonful of minced garlic. Wonderful fresh taste!

Health Nut Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: May 14, 2006
Yum! I didn't have any oat bran on hand, so I used milled flax seed instead. It was great! Also, I didn't have a banana to mash, so I used lowfat blueberry yogurt instead. I sprinkled a little sugar on top before baking, and these turned out great! Thanks for the great recipe.

Oven-Baked Caramel French Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2006
Very easy and great for Sunday brunch! I used leftover hamburger buns and broke them into pieces. It turned out great. I even left out the extra caramel sauce, and it was plenty sweet. Would definitely make again.

Peanut Butter Candy Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2006
I absolutely loved these, as did everyone I shared them with. I chilled the peanutbutter layer before spreading on the chocolate top to be sure the layers didn't mix. It worked like a charm! Caution - these are rich, so get yourself a nice big glass of ice-cold milk before you eat one...or two....or three.

Kielbasa and Cabbage

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2006
I used prepackaged coleslaw mix with carrots instead of cutting up the cabbage. It worked out great and shortened both prep and cooking times. Will make this again!

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
What a great recipe! I halved the dough, adding lemon extract to one and almond extract to the other. I also subbed 2 cups wheat flour for 2 of the white flour. I made a simple lemon glaze with confectioners sugar and lemon juice for lemon scones and melted chocolate chips to drizzle over the almond scones. Thanks for the fabulous recipe!

Easy Apple Cinnamon Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2005
Very good recipe. I made these for my son's preschool class for Johnny Appleseed Day. I used mini-muffin tins instead of regular size and baked for about 12 minutes. I cut back on the amount of chopped apple and sprinkled only brown sugar on top since these had to make it to school intact. I also added a dash of nutmeg because I love the taste with cinnamon and apples. They were even better the day after. Thanks for the great recipe.

Potato Salmon Patties

Very quick and easy. I've used both salmon and tuna with equally good results. Definitely a keeper.

Easy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2005
I've tried just about every meatloaf recipe there is, but this is the one I'll stick with. It's so moist and delicious! Instead of using an onion, I substituted a packet of onion soup mix because my kids don't care for big chunks of onion. Also, I used steak sauce instead of the sauce in the recipe. It was great.

Lemonade Pie III

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2005
It doesn't get any easier than this pie. I didn't change a thing, but had a little filling left over. I ate some of that...and it's a good thing I did because I didn't get one piece of the pie!

Honey Wheat Sandwich Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2005
My family loved these rolls! My kids ate them as dinner rolls, no sandwich stuff. Thanks for a great recipe. I didn't use a biscuit cutter, just hand shaped them like someone recommended below.
