Frozen Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2011
I just made these. I took the advise of adding salt and baking soda, they are delicious! The dough is very soft so I used my cookie scoop to place portions on a baking sheet and froze them for about 14 minutes and they rolled great. I put them back in the freezer for an hour before coating with chocolate. I can't wait for my family to taste them.

Old Fashioned Onion Rings

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2011
I made these tonight to go with our grilled steaks. Thank you Jean Marie!! The are fantastic!! I took the advice of some others and added cayenne pepper to the flour and used panko crumbs instead of regular bread crumbs. They are some of the best onion rings I have ever eaten.

Dilly Onion Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
I made this last night. I followed other suggestins and lessen the dill to 2 teaspoons and was glad I did. I think a Tbsp would have been overpowering. I used the dough cycle on my bread machine and then formed them into 10 rolls. They were nice and crisp on the ouside and tender on the inside. Thank you for the recipe.

Kielbasa and Cabbage

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2010
I made a few changes to this recipe but not drastic ones. I used half the bacon and did not use the drippings, I used olive oil instead. I also used chicken broth instead of water to give it extra flavor. I browned my kielbasa and also added cubed potatoes that I had boiled and then browned in olive oil. I added the kielbasa and potatoes at the very end. We thought it was delicious and will be making again.

Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
We really enjoy this cake but to lower the fats, I used half oil and half applesauce and 1% milk. My mother made this cake often and I don't see any difference in texture or taste. I also prefer to use mini chips and save a little of the shaved chocolate to sprinkle on top of the slightly cooled cake along with some powdered sugar.

Garlic Parmesan Olives

So far I have made these three times and they have never lasted longer than a day. My son would be only too happy for me to make a container just for him. Personally, I don't even eat olives but family rates them a 5

Cinnamon Raisin Bread I

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2010
I made this with golden raisins and substituted some whole wheat flour. Like one of the other reviewers, my dough didn't raise to double but it baked up perfectly. This is the best cinnamon raisin bread recipe out there, I much prefer it to any bakery version.

Cherry Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
I halved the recipe and baked in a 9x13 pan. They were fantastic, I think that they would be great for a brunch. It turned out like a cherry danish. I think I will make a full recipe next time and use cherry on one side and apple or blueberry on the other.
