Tomato Vodka Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2005
A wonderful recipe! And a nice change from the usual "red" pasta sauce. It was even better heated up the next day. Like several of the reviewers, I also added about a teaspoon of chopped garlic.

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2005
I've been making corned beef and cabbage for many years and I thought this recipe was outSTANDing!! I too put it in my crockpot and used the packet of herbs after covering it with Brown Sugar Twin and pouring a bottle of Michelob Amber Bock all around. I put the potatoes, carrots and cabbage in at noon when I came home for lunch. When we got home at 7:00 p.m. everything was just perfect! Served with sourdough bread... yum!!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2005
This is how I *always* make my roast... EXCEPT... instead of water I use a can of Coke (and NOT diet-gives it a bad taste). This makes the best gravy! Try it! I know you'll love it!

Pork Chops with Apples, Onions, and Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2005
Not bad...definitely easy to prepare. Doubt if I'd make this again. I have other and better recipes for pork chops. But it was something different.

Penne in Vodka Cream

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2005
Very good. DH and I thought this was a nice change from the regular marinara sauce (even if it did look a little too much like tomato soup LOL). I added frozen Italian meatballs and chopped mushrooms to the sauce while it cooked. We really liked the flavor. Thanks

Tim's Sausage Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2005
OMG! This is one of the best soups in here! I've made it several times and everyone just loves it. I do use the low sodium chicken broth, but that's the only difference. Thanks for a wonderful recipe, Tim!

Pleasant Pork Chops

This was very good. The sauce was excellent! This would be good with chicken even.

Honey Mustard Beer Brats

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2005
These were very good. Since I made this in the winter I did not grill them so we just ate them out of the crockpot for supper. I can't wait to try to grill them! I didn't have liquid smoke, so I just left that out and it didn't effect the flavor any for us. Great recipe.

Shrimp and Mushroom Linguini with Creamy Cheese Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2005
We really liked this recipe. I didn't have any mushrooms, so I threw in some snow peas and red and yellow peppers. Thanks for the great recipe.

Oven BBQ Ribs

Reviewed: May 3, 2005
The ribs cooked up nicely in the crockpot (loved the beer addition!). We just weren't too crazy about the BBQ sauce that went over them. They would have been better just using a bottled brand. Sorry.

Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: May 5, 2005
Very good - even the 5 yr. old grandson liked it! I think next time I'll shred the chicken breast instead of cutting it into chunks. Top with sour cream and guacamole - yum!

Fresh Rhubarb Bread Pudding

Reviewed: May 5, 2005
I like to find different ways to use my pie plant instead of the "usual" crisps, cobblers and pies. And this recipe is the best I've ever found! I can't say enough for it! It's the BEST!

Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2005
Took this to our golf fundraiser and it was gobbled up! Like others, I added a little red pepper and sunflower seeds and green onions. Eyeballed the veggies (there was a lot!), but kept the dressing the same. It was plenty. I only got a taste of it, but really really liked what I had. Plus, it was a very pretty presentation in a glass salad dish. Kind of like a 7 Layer Salad. Oh, and I also put the dressing on over the cheese, then added the bacon and seeds afterwards to keep them crisper.

Red Bean Salad with Feta and Peppers

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2005
Very good. I had to find something to serve my vegetarian daughter over the 4th, and she loved this! She said she would add another can of beans to hers just because she likes beans. I thought it tasted pretty good, too. Thanks for the recipe.

We loved this! The cola gave the beans such a great, almost smokey, flavor. Thanks for giving me a new way to prepare an old standard.
