About this Cook
I am a 26 year old stay-at-home Mom of two feisty boys. I love to cook for my family on any and all occasions. I especially enjoy making and serving treats for my boys.
My favorite things to cook
I love to try out my hand at any type of non-American food. I especially like to make Mexican and Italian dishes. I also LOVE to make desserts!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up cooking with my Mom and Grandma making everything from pies to coleslaw. I LOVE having my kids help me in the kitchen. My favorite holiday cooking tradition is making peanut butter balls for Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
I have really started to become comfortable with myself in the kitchen. I am now able to create my own recipes or make dishes without a written recipe. I am very proud of myself for that.
My cooking tragedies
I can't remember anything tragic. I started cooking when I was 7 in 4-H. I am sure I had my share of mistakes during that learning process.

Pineapple Crisp
This was interesting. I had fresh pineapple that I didn't know what to do with. It tasted wonderful but it wasn't what I was expecting. The kids loved it.

Ham Ballz
I grind up some extra ham steaks for this recipe. I have also used half and half ground turkey as well. I blended it in the food processor with the ham. It works wonderfully. I make extra sauce because my family enjoys pouring it over mashed potatoes!
