Poor Man's Hamburger Steaks

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2007
This poor man's hamburger steak is wonderful!! great flavor all the way. I did listen to other reviews and follow what they said, i also changed it up a bit to suite our taste. I followed it completely except, i only made a third of the recipe. I cooked it on 425 for 10 minutes on each side before reducing heat to take off grease. I also mixed in half a can of soup instead of using it as a gravy on top. This made it so delicous. Instead of the mushroom gravy on top, i used a pack of brown gravy mix but added some of the cream of mushroom soup and added a can of fresh mushrooms to it as well. yum.. thanks for the dish!!

OU Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
This was an absoulute hit! We made it for Thanksgiving for my brother who plays football for the oklahoma sooners. We thought it would be a neat addition to our holiday meal. I only made a few additions, I added an 8oz container of sour cream because i like my casseroles a little creamy and i added some cheese (krafts 3 cheese blend with a hint of cream cheese). THese two additional ingredients made this casserole a hit. My husband who is very hard to please has requested it many times...so i will be making it for Christmas and also for his work Christmas party. Thankyou Jessica for sharing this recipe!

Red Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2006
This is better for an italian sauce, just leave out the chili powder. I am a Texas girl and this recipe was not good at all. My husband is a fan of enchiladas, and he asked me why did i use spaghetti sauce? I will never make this again it was awful and I am not sure why it has five stars?! Maybe some people do not know what an enchilada sauce is suppose to taste like......

French Toast Corners

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2006
Use thick bread, it will keep it from getting to soggy and tasting like mush. I added an extra 1/4 tsp of cinnamon for our taste, 1/2 teaspon of nutmeg (great addition) and 1 1/2 tablespoons of brown sugar. Make sure u only cut bread in half, when cut in quarters was way to soggy. I melted some peach and strawberry perserves in a pan with butter and poured over the top, tasted wonderful...

Stuffed Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2005
This was a wonderful recipe, however i did add and change things up a bit. I used 2lbs thin boneless center cut porkchops (as i browned them i put a dash of salt, pepper and garlic powder), 21/2 cups seasoned packaged breadcrumbs with 1/2 cup of cubed bread, instead of mixing the water and soup together i mixed 1/2 cup of chicken broth with 1 can of cream of chicken soup. Before i baked it all i spikeled 1/4 cup of chicken broth over the dish so that the stuffing does not dry out. i also left out the celery and onions because the packaged bread crumbs i used were already wonderfully flavored. Again this was very tasty!

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2005
This was wonderful! I have tried several recipes and this one really hit it off with my family. I did however substitute mozzerella chesse for the cheddar and i used plain bread crumbs. The steak sauce was a wonderful addition to this recipe. Thanks Again!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
These were awesome!! I woke up easter morning and wanted to make cookies to take to my in-laws. I did what some users said, cut the white sugar in half and and more brown sugar. my cookies took about 13 minutes to bake. I also substitued white chips because that was all i had and i substituted cashews instead of walnuts because thats what i had, sounds like a wierd combo but it worked out pretty good. thanks for some great cookies. delicous flavor!!

Spaghetti Sauce I

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2006
This was wonderful!! My family enjoyed it!! I used brown sugar instead of white which cut back on the acid!! I doubled the ground beef because my husband likes it very meaty and i added tomato paste, mushrooms and stewed tomatoes. Instead of a pinch of garlic, I used minced garlic!! I will make again...thanks!!

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
I have been searching high and low for a good recipe for bread pudding, this was absolutely the best, just like my grandmother used to make. I did have to cook it a little longer, I used 7 eggs like some suggested, and a bit more bread but this is the best bread pudding ever.
