Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
I scaled it down to 4 and used regular grocery red wine vinegar, but added in a bit of good quality balsamic. I am not a fan of salads or dressings, but thought it was light and very doable. Will definitely be using it over store bought.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
Very good, but something about the canned soup gives it a weird taste. Maybe next time I will use powder or home made.

Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
We used this and the turkey fryer and it came out very good. I have always read that this makes the turkey cook faster, but I wasn't sure about the fryer. Next time we will fry the turkey for a shorter amount of time.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
I give it 4 stars because it was really good, but not fabulous. Both my hubby and I found it to be a tad bland, but it was tasty. I did press the tops into panko crumbs and liked it. Next time I am going to try to add in some hot italian sausage to give it something more.

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
Excellent! We grill ours on a cedar plank and serve it over jasmine rice with edamame (shelled). We also reduce the leftover marinade to drizzle over the fish and rice.

Bagna Cauda

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2008
I thought this was something only my dad made for my family on fondue night. When we do it, we use an electric skillet on med-low, start with two sticks of butter, some olive oil, approx. a whole garlic bulb, and the 2 cans of anchovies. Once we soak up most of the liquid, we add in another stick of butter if we want it. We also dip cabbage, veggies, meat, and bread in ours. I have never hear of/tried it with cream...bet it is good! I do not suggest mixing half cream and half olive oil. It's probably good either way, but not combined. Just don't burn the butter and cook it nice and slow until the anchovies dissolve...YUMMY!

Vanilla Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
Excellent recipe! It was hit at Thanksgiving dinner and was eaten up by bedtime. I used an extra large graham cracker crust. I made a foil tent to go over the pie to prevent burning on the edges. As many suggested, I also used extra vanilla, condensed milk, and a 50/50 mix of brown/white sugar.

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Very good and extremely easy. I hate to back anything but I was really craving key lime pie and there are none available in Mid MO... It is nothing like my favorite one from Publix though.

Antipasto Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
This is my staple dish for cook outs and pot lucks... I use Barilla pasta and it holds up great. Many times I omit the "sauce" and leave it as a dry pasta salad and it is delicious!

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
This is an absolute HIT when I take this to parties and cook outs. A friend of mine has me mix up a batch for his bday every year! Sometimes, I add roasted garlic and/or sundried tomatoes if I want to give it a little "more" of something. It is also easy to make a lot of at once and then freeze individual pans to cook up later.

My husband LOVES this for breakfast. I sprinkle a bit of garlic salt on the crust and it tastes great! I also used the reduced fat rolls for the crust.
