Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2014
These were perfect! I omitted the cinnamon, though.

Connie's Zucchini "Crab" Cakes

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
No one here to eat these but me, but I declare them delicious. ( adapted them to make them gluten free.) I'm excited about making them again soon!

Oven Fried Chicken IV

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
I followed this recipe exactly except for mixing the spices into the sour cream instead of the cornflakes. I did not care for it. I ended up drizzling it with oil and putting it under the broiler to try to get it to crisp, with mild success. Still it had a bad flavor, almost sweet.

Chex® Muddy Buddies® -- Gluten Free!

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
My family and I make this all the time now. It's pretty quick and easy and all seven of us, ages 11 months to 32 years, like it. The amount of cereal and powdered sugar can be adjusted to your tastes.

Meringue Kisses I

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2010
Meringues are supposed to be dry; they're not a moist cookie. So if you like yours moist, this is a rare meringue recipe for you!

Peppermint Meringues

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2010
I didn't like the way these left meringues...they're supposed to be dry. A moist meringue is a sticky meringue. But if that's how you like yours, this is a rare recipe for you!

Layered Chicken and Black Bean Enchilada Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
My husband liked this a lot and asked me if he could take it to work for lunch- a rare compliment. I was surprised I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. We both thought it needed more enchilada sauce, so next time I'll use 12 oz. instead of 10. Also, I need to find spicier green chiles.

Luscious Eggnog

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
This was tasty, but waaay too much work. Impressively, my 12 year old made this herself, but it's not a recipe I consider easy and it certainly wasn't quick. We like the Eggnog I recipe much better!

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2009
It's a little wasteful-- ANY stem part comes out chewy instead of crispy-- but delicious. My one year old and I gobbled up an entire batch. (Those I brushed with olive oil were tastier than those I sprayed with cooking spray.)

Nectarine Blush

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2009
I was really surprised by how tasty this was! I'd make it again except I peeled my nectarines and I'm no good at peeling or even chopping nectarines, so this drink took longer to prepare than I'd have liked. I also used homemade buttermilk (milk + vinegar).

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
Easy and, I assume since I can't eat wheat, awesome. It looked and behaved like pizza crust... I was confused about the amount of flour, though. It seemed like it needed a lot more than the recipe called for. In any case I'll be using this recipe again.

Crab and Pea Salad

I liked this because I could throw it together quickly and easily when I was starving. It was pretty good served on tostadas.

Buttery Cranberry Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
We liked it, but it was tart. Tart tart tart. I can eat an whole lemon, but this pie was a bit of a challenge. Still tasty, though, especially with vanilla ice cream on top! When I make it again it will be without the lemon juice.

Cranberry Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
My mom really enjoyed this but I didn't, and for the same reason: It tasted almost exactly like barbecue sauce pork chops. It gets thumbs up for being quick, easy, and fairly nutritious, though.

Microwave Cherry Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
My filling bubbled up through the topping so much that there was very little "topping"; most of it baked into the middle and bottom of the cherries. Thumbs up for being quick and easy, though-- my daughter made this as a treat before school! We'll probably try it again.

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

I loved these, but the rest of my family had mixed feelings. Upon polling them I've learned these would earn something like an average of 3.25 stars from my family.

This was just as all the five-star reviewers described: Absolutely delicious and loved by every member of my family, including my meat-loving husband who didn't realize it was meatless. Can't wait to make it again and again!

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
Not nearly as good as I expected and no one in my family cared much for them. They were just okay. Nothing wrong with them, just kind of disappointing. I doubt I'll make these again.

Rice-Crust Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
Pros: Gluten-free. Nutritious. Easy. Inexpensive. Cons: Not that tasty. The curry in the crust is the best part. I'm just not sure if I'd make this again or not.
