Aunt Gail's Oatmeal Lace Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2006
Fabulous recipe!! These were nicely crunchy and had a great taste. I took some to a friend of mine and she loved them too! Definite keeper... thanks for sharing! I would suggest that the recipe be doubled though because these went way too fast. And the last batch I made the cookies a bit too big and they do spread when baking.

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2005
This is an awesome recipe and half of my family enjoyed it. The rest of us found it to be too sweet so when I make it for Father's Day, I'm going to decrease or eliminate the brown sugar. Thanks for the great recipe that feeds a crowd!

Peach Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2005
Excellent recipe. I used Pillsbury pie crusts and used 1/2 brown sugar & 1/2 white. I baked it at 450 for 15 minutes and then at 375 for 30 minutes - turned out perfectly! I gave half the pie to my neighbor and she loved it too. One thing the recipe didn't specify was to peel the peaches, which I did. I'll be making this again and again.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2005
This is by far the best stuffing I've ever made. I first made it for 200 people at church, then for 10 at Thanksgiving, and again for Christmas. I doubled the recipe at Christmas because I knew we would want lots of leftovers. Makes a great meal in itself! It has fruit, protein, and carbs, plus it's delicious. Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe!!

Mom's Best Peanut Brittle

Absolutely fabulous! Easy to follow directions, awesome results. I can't wait to make more and now wish I would have had this recipe BEFORE Christmas to add to my cookie plates. Definite winner, thanks for the great recipe!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2006
Fantastic cookies! I didn't melt the butter but used soft unsalted instead. The cookies were fluffy, chewy, and a little crunchy around the edges, exactly as we like them! I took a plate of them to church and they were gone in minutes and everyone raved about how good they were. This is a keeper recipe for me, thanks for sharing!

Apple Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2005
Very good recipe! I too made some changes which I think really made it better. After chopping the apples, I let them soak in apple juice for about 30 minutes. I used more of the stuffing ingredients and added about 2 cups of apple juice and about 2 tsps. of poultry seasoning and garlic salt. After stuffing the chops, I wrapped them with a piece of bacon before pan frying. I put all the left over stuffing in the bottom of the pan and put the chops on top and cooked as instructed. YUMMY!!

Classic Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
This is a good recipe but I made the following changes which really enhanced the salad: 6 boiled eggs, chopped; 1 small can of sliced black olives, 2 cups of frozen peas. I've also made it with a pound of crispy cooked bacon! Lots of ways to experiment, but this is a good base recipe, thanks for sharing!

Green Bean Casserole I

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
I use fresh green beans, omit the milk and use sour cream instead. Add fresh ground pepper and only add the fried onions the last 7 minutes of baking - it does take 45 minutes to bake because of fresh beans but the texture is much better than canned beans and they don't have that "frozen" taste.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
I use small portabello mushrooms and follow this recipe but before baking, I wrap the entire mushroom & filling with a strip of bacon - as you know, bacon makes EVERYTHING better!! :)

Crisp Oatmeal Cookies

These turned out like sugar cookies (IMHO) - AND I added 1 cup of oats.
