Mushroom Barley Bake

Reviewed: May 8, 2008
Awesome, easy, and versatile - I can see a lot of variation potential here. The only variation I made the first time through was to add 150% as many mushrooms, just because I love them.

Be sure to chop the tuna into fairly small pieces, less than 1".

Like Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits, and you can make/eat as many as you want without continuously harrassing the waiter to bring more!

Grilled Pineapple

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2008
I love this. I slice the pineapple lengthwise in ~1 inch pieces so thatI can skip skewers. I also substitute cayenne for hot pepper sauce. Finally, I use both the meat and the core - different textures, but both tasty.

Indian Cauliflower

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2005
I followed the advice of other reviews and chopped my cauliflower into florets before cooking. This dish turned out wonderfully and is even good reheated. I'll definitely make it again.

YUM. I'd microwave a little longer than 8 minutes, but other than that, awesome recipe.

Crabby Cream Cheese Wontons

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2005
I threw all my ingredients in the food processor to acheive a more even distribution of ingredients on this recipe. If I change anything next time, it'll be to add four times as much cream cheese (or rather, cut everything by 3/4 except the cream cheese) in order to acheieve a crab rangoon more like those in the restaurants I go to. Otherwise, it was quick, easy, and awesome!!! Thank you for posting this recipe.

Vegetarian Pasties

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2005
These were pretty good - I also found them a little dry. I would recommend (and will try in the future) serving gravy on the side, since that's how these are served in Michigan. Should fix the dryness, but kill the vegetarian-ism. Some people (called 'tourists') also eat them with kecthup....

Best Ever New Zealand Pavlova

Definitely will use an electric mixer if I ever try this recipe again. I think I got what's referred to in these reviews as 'pavlova pancake'!

Yummy side! The butter got chunky after a day in the fridge, but otherwise this recipe is A+!

Hungarian Noodle Side Dish

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2005
Pretty tasty. I made it with cream of chicken soup, left out the parmesan, and used low-fat versions of sour cream and cottage cheese. Cooked for 3 hours in an 8qt crock pot (10 servings size) and it was fine - had a nice thick crust on the outside. Next time I may double it just to fit my crock pot.
