Yorkshire Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2014
Sooo good. Great advice from other reviewers. Heated the fat for 15 min in hot oven. I also had to use the beaters on the batter. I didn't let the batter rest. ( time limit) and they turned out gorgeous! Crispy on the outside and soft inside. I made too many so I froze and bagged the few leftover. Reheated in the oven when I made my next roast for a few minutes. Just as good as the 1st time. Will make over and over, every Sunday from now on.

Pork Steaks

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2013
5 stars for its simlplicity. A quick and tasty meal ready in mere minutes. I used only the ingredients listed but I did brown my chops in the butter first. Removed them and sautéed my garlic in even more butter before adding the soya sauce. Dredged the chops in the sauce while it bubbled scattered the green onion, covered, cooked a few more minutes and, voila. A tasty quick meal that even my finiky eaters had 2nds of! Thanks for posting, baby love

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2013
So so very very good. I didn't have a chance to marinate it over night in the spices, or manage my time to slow cook it. But that didn't matter. It was still WOW! And you know what's better? The soup I made out of the stock. After removing what little meat was on the carcass, I threw in everything. Skin, bones all of it. And the spices on the skin made my stock all that MORE better! Next time, and there will be many more next times, I will marinate and slow cook it as the recipe states. I can't imagine it being any better!

Stef's Super Cheesy Garlic Bread

OH MY! I knew this would be rich and be well received by my family....but they inhaled it! I didn't hear any chewing! I cut most of the ingredients in half and still found it to be satisfying and hearty! Was a delicious side to my home made chicken soup.

Chef John's Spaghetti alla Carbonara

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2012
Made EXACTLY as chef John suggested. Right down to the pancetta and whole wheat barilla pasta. The video is the best! Tasted light and creamy, just like I was expecting. Licked my plate clean! Update: Subbed chicken in for bacon and definitely needed bacon! Good as a "creamy pasta" for dairy allergy son!

Quinoa Tabbouleh

Reviewed: May 18, 2012
My first encounter with quinoa did not go well. So I was hesistant to try again. I'm so glad I did. This was delicious. I did make a few changes only for personal taste. I added minced garlic, used celery instead of cucumber used cilantro instead of parsley and omitted the tomatoes. WAS SOOOO GOOD!

Pork Loin and Cabbage

I loved the simplicity. The overall taste was simple and filling. I ALMOST substituted the worcestershire sauce for balsamic vinegar but wanted to try the recipe as is. Glad I did. It didn't overpower anything! Will be making this again.

My husband went on and on and on about this coleslaw. I've NEVER made a good coleslaw. I too used celery seed just because I had it on hand. This was a great topping for my pulled pork sandwiches!

Creamy Vegetable Medley

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
I used fresh vegetables and I wish I hadn't steamed them first. That made them a bit mushy They would have been perfect cooking in the oven with the sauce. I'm giving it four stars for the taste. Yum ! I also added a little ceasar dressing to the cream mixture and subbed milk for the sourcream. My husband had 3 helpings.....of VEGETABLES!!!!
