Macaron (French Macaroon)

Don't use the measurements from the video! They are wrong. It says 50g egg white, 50g sugar, 100g almonds, 200g powered sugar. I couldn't see the footnotes on my phone and didn't know they were wrong until I started mixing it and it was way way too thick. Trying it again with the correct measurements from the footnotes! Edited, made using the measurements from the footnote and they were great! Had to make 3 batches because we couldn't wait long enough to eat them with filling. The first tray my kids were eating straight off the pan as they cooled. We are waiting on the filled one to eat tomorrow as I have read they are better if they refrigerate 24 hours.

Greek Pasta Salad

This is excellent! I used a whole package of grape tomatoes cut in half, a large can of black olives cut in half, and added a whole can of quartered artichokes and half a package of peperoni. Also used half to 3/4 package of whacky mac in place of the penne.

Microwave Oven Peanut Brittle

turns out great. I followed other people's instructions as I have a 1200 watt microwave and so I did it for 2 min, and then another 2 min, and it was softer than taffy, so I did the original times and it came out perfect. Made some for my neighbor and she said it was the best home made peanut brittle and couldn't believe it was made in the microwave in such little time.

Bar-B-Que Sauce

I had made some pork shoulder roast in my crock pot and when I went looking for bar-b-que sauce I didn't have any. So of course the first thing I do is go here and search it. This is the best home made bar-b-que sauce I have ever tasted. We have done a few changes to suit different tastes. My kids like it with a touch of honey in it, and the hubby likes it with some molasses, dried onion flakes, and lots of black pepper.

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

This soup was great! I did make a couple changes. I used 2 large baking potatoes and used my mandolin to slice them really thin. Only needed to heat them for 6 min to make them really tender. I used kale instead of spinach. And last but not least I added 2 T of sugar to sweeten it up a bit because the kale can be kinda bitter sometimes.

Kabobs

These were great. We did marinade overnight. Used both beef and chicken. I only marinated the veggies for 2 hours though. Hubby added veggies to his bag right off the bat and they were too soggy.

Sensational Sirloin Kabobs

I made these tonight and they were fantastic. I let them marinade two nights, not on purpose. My MIL took us out to dinner last night when I was originally going to make these. My hubby (the very picky eater) said they were the best kabobs he's ever had. I used beef sirloin and chicken breasts. I also let the veggies marinade with the beef. Next time I'll add the mushrooms about 4 hours before cooking. They seemed to soak up too much and just didn't taste right to me.

Garlic Butter

This is the best garlic butter I have ever tasted! I did take other's suggestions and used less salt. I also added a little extra parmesan cheese. We had this on some fresh italian bread with our dinner tonight and my husband said it was better than the garlic butter he absolutely loves at our favorite steak restaurant.

Basil Chicken and Pasta

This was fabulous! My very picky husband couldn't eat enough of it. I did double the sauce as recommended by others. I also used fresh basil (prob, 10 or so leaves chopped fine) insted of dry. We grow our own basil so I had lots to work with. Next time I'll make even more sauce!

Grandma Johnson's Scones

These are great. I have been looking for a scone recipe that tastes like the bakery by my house. They make the worlds best white chocolate cranberry scones, that is until I found this recipe. This is now the only way I will ever eate these. I added 1 c crasins and 1 c white chocolate chips, next time I will cut the sugar in half though. Quite a bit sweet for scones. I will be making these quite often.
